I am have a REALLY difficult time figuring out how the feed slides are supposed to work. I just cannot get it adjusted properly to auto feed. The frame ears bind between the slide and the chain, destroying the frame. Am down to hand feeding frame by frame slot by slot. Can you show clearly one running and feeding properly?

New user of 8/9 Lyson hive in coastal Georgia (USA)=subtropics. I wonder if you recommend gluing the openings in place once you decided between sealing polysterene vs. ventilation grid? I wondered if small hive beetles would crawl through the small openings around the seals. Please advise. (Background: I set up with no upper ventilation.)

I bought this hive and i love it because of the edges of each deep and super box make them all secured perfectly together you don't see that in many other poly hives! the only bad thing about this hive it doesn't have a top feeder to match its size or if there is then its not in the market

Good evening and some late commentary. A fantastic addition to our operations that we set up last weekend. With regard to the comment in the video about needing to adjust the computer for accurate dispensing measurements, in the menu there are parameters, P3 and P4 possibly, that when adjusted subtract or add to the coefficient that the bottler uses to dispense accurate amounts of honey that matches the display amount. The adjustment will depend on the viscosity of the honey I imagine. Furthermore, the video states that they have the turntable speed at low. If you do turn it all the way down the table will not turn. It took me awhile to understand that it wasn’t broken, I had just turned it off by putting it on the lowest setting. Finally, as mentioned in one of the other comments, to ensure that the bottle is perfectly lined up underneath the dispenser, you will need to adjust the arm with the micro switch, toward or way from the table by small amounts of movement, so that when the bottle is in the right position it will start dispensing the honey. If you put the table into “service mode” it will deactivate the dispenser and allow you to place with the micro switch arm to ensure that you have optimum placement of the bottle. I’ve asked Lyson to amend and add to their instruction manual so that the setup is minimal and add to the over all great experience of a great machine. Cheers.

These nucs are great! I carried some late, very small colonies through last winter in them. I introduced a cheap BlueTooth temp sensor in them and the bees could easily regulate the temps. I've used a variety of the many venting options, the top feeders, propolis traps, and just couldn't be more satisfied. If there was a painted or primed option that would be great, but the outer coating is a bit like gel-coat on fiberglass. You want to paint after assembly, but you can get away with a few months (I did) before the UV starts degrading the surface. Really just leaving this as a product review. In the US they don't come assembled, and I thought that screwing them together might break out chunks. Not so. Even when I was less than accurate with screws the extra density made the difference. Great product!
