I have the same model. The Kickstart lever and chain guard are not factory. For a 100 it's surprisingly quick and fun to ride.

I had a 74 I believe, key was under gas tank. Top speed 59 mph and 110 MPG. If it stops smoking, start worrying. Oil tank under seat never seemed to run low.

About 20 of these were done by a friend of mine who is an expert in the conversion... he would take an airhead engine and made it redrill and reassemble the airhead to the Ural transmission You got to remember the Ural is a copy of the original BMW not much changed

It would be retaining the reverse gear which would concern me. I believe the 2WD mech 'simply' comes off the rear hub and the actual gearbox is not involved.

Sorry the bike was sold on eBay for a very high price years ago due to rarity there was probably only one of those like that in the entire world and I don't feel like got enough money even though it was very high price

76 graphics, immaculate, in the UK I bought a 76 kh 500 new very old unsold stock but in late 79 for z200 money. Had it rejetted higgspeed expansion chamber, I've never loved any bike like that 500. I did loads of miles tent camping/ touring with it. I've always considered it the best bike I've ever owned.

On the original G7 motorcycles, the engine crankcases weren’t polished, like on this one, originally they used to be painted silver.

There were 25 of these conversions done by a friend of mine in the Carolinas and basically you have to weld all the holes realign the new engine with the Ural trans drilling alignment and then you use a coarse spline clutch disk which lines up with inputs shaft of the ural transmission

No it has it’s own oil tank and is oil injected

This assembly is very successful. What is its consumption in liters / 100 km? I have a Dnieper MT 16 bought new in 1988 on which I quickly installed a BMW 800 which consumes 13 liters / 100 km. Is this normal? Thank you in advance for this information.

I think I was getting 28 miles to the gallon they’re not very efficient kind of a clunky heavy set up but the good thing was the stock Ural engine had 28 horse and they are 90 had 80 horse

Hi jean-claude, I also have a Dnepr mt16 with a bmw r80 engine. I am getting 13km per liter out of it. But I don't have a powered sidecar wheel anymore. kind regards, marcel
