YOUR TRACTOR IS A VERY STYLISH ESTHETICALLY BEAUTIFUL MACHINE, BUT OF CORSE I'VE BEEN A BIG MASSEY FERGUSON MAN FOR EVER ANYWAY SINCE THE 1960s I ALSO HAVE MF GARDEN TRACTOR FROM BACK WHEN MY BIG 1150 WAS BN , A HAVE AN MF14 AND A 16 GARDEN TRACTOR , IN MY OPINION MASSEY FERGUSONS ARE THEE FINEST MADE AND THEE FINEST LOOKING FARM MACHINES EVER MADE....

Revving the engine when it's cold can harm it, instead wait about 5 minutes so it can heat up

light revs wont hurt a engine and will help bring it up to running temperature more quickly

On some injection pumps, the engine goes to full throttle before the governor weights inside the pump have enough speed to swing out to the proper engine speed. The JD 55 series would be a good example of what I'm talking about. There's nothing you can do about it.
