How does it feel to get back to the good stuff? Is that the FDR-AX93? I bet Oreo was excited to get out.
@utilabeagler84 Жыл бұрын
Mark it feels good couldn’t wait to get back home & run dogs. She’s always excited to get out she ran 2 days straight in a trio & 2 days solo a day off & a rabbit hunt for 6 hrs she would run every day if I took her.. just did another rabbit hunt on Sunday
Great running brother just subscribe go check out my outdoors channel plenty of rabbit hunting videos

I get one rabbit they run almost check free and the next its just as if there is almost no scent like that.
@utilabeagler844 жыл бұрын
yeah that's weird how that happens 1 minute they running good then they flip the switch & its tough.. great experience for Oreo
@mcardery2k4 жыл бұрын
i wish mine had to work that hard. The cover is open and the scent is high. They dont even have to put their heads down. i prefer this type running.
@utilabeagler844 жыл бұрын
Mark it’s good when the cover is thick hardly any sight chases & when they do it’s a very short chase but on the other side it’s hard to get good videos that shows the dogs working the cover is getting thicker

okay.. If Rabbits Are That Scarce a break Pen would be the easiest way to go with ur pups... do you know any1 that has rabbit hunters close 2 you if so ask them if they know any1 that starts puppies in ur are they would more than likely give you the information you need....
@cumbieoutdoors98877 жыл бұрын
I have two puppies now trying to train they are young have any tips
@utilabeagler847 жыл бұрын
There's several ways u could get them started.. ( 1 ) A training pen would be the quickest way if there's some1 close to u would cost a few bucks & with in 2 to 3 weeks they should b running..( 2 ) a puppy trainer if u have 1 or access to 1 would work that's how I start mine..( 3 ) if there's an area close 2 you that has rabbits u could walk ur pups around in the evening @ dust when the rabbits are moving around & put them on every rabbit u see this takes much more time & patience. I would say pups should be around 5 to 6 months or older for this step... I done this & it worked.( 4 ) u could also start them on pet rabbits any color would do let ur pups chase it around & they will open up after a while & just put them on fresh wild rabbit scent as much as possible..the only thing I don't like with step 1 & 4 is the sight chasing u don't want them to get 2 much of it..These 2 pups in the video don't even know what a rabbit is both of them only saw a glimps of a rabbit , they running but don't really know what's leaving the scent they are following.... I hope this helps with ur pups I have only used step 2 & 3 & 2 is how I start my pups..... step 1 is faster if u find some1 that's doing it pay the couple bucks & they will be started quicker & u will just need to feed them rabbit tracks after that....
@utilabeagler847 жыл бұрын
you could use a drag also I forgot about it i have used it didn't get any pups to open up on it but they will show interest when they smell rabbit scent if u use a drag

That female has a really nice chop and line control. The Pups shouldn't have any problem catching on with her. You've been blessed with her sir!
@utilabeagler847 жыл бұрын
Thank You.. Yes she does she is very smooth & forward on the line she has a big nose & is a very excited dog If I run her with dogs that don't shut up @ a check she will do what they do , but as for running a rabbit she can dot it no matter the temperature she's got it I got 8 pups off her & a Cranks Chicken male keep 4 females they all have chop mouth in the cage hoping they have it on the tracks also.. they'll be 5 months on the 4 of Sept.
