Best n64 game imo. I agree with creepy castle and frantic factory being high. Also crystal caves and gloomy galleon being low. I'd swap jungle japes with angry Aztec. I didn't have the playthrough guide when I was small, so getting lanky was a huge task. Didn't understand that I had to go from level to level.. I literally cried when I finished the game, cause the daunting task of finishing the game was over. Bittersweet

I skipped through this to see what the game is about but this whole video is put together so hilariously well that I need to sit back and watch the whole thing tomorrow. Awesome work

We should have been able to use Lanky's Balloon and Enguard transformations to activate the towers to stun Puftoss and attack him from the bottom respectively And we should have gotten an air to air with Diddy against Dogadon I also believe we should have been allowed to use the Rambi transformation in Armydillo's second fight due to DK getting no actual interesting moves in the game. Maybe using Rambi to tilt Dillo over from an armored spot to hit him in the belly with the TNT barrel or something. Lots of things could have been done to make DK64s bosses better. I love the game but it deserved better than it got

The best way I can think of DK64 is like this, it was fun for it's time, but highly flawed looking back at it now. Mario 64 had its issues when I replayed it on 3D all stars after so many years of better camera control in other games. I think the biggest issues for me with DK64 is the amount of collectables in comparison to Mario 64, banjo kazooie and tooie, the constant backtracking to access other characters became too much. Again, fun but flawed.

It still holds the Guinness book of world records for the most collectables in a video game.

I feel like the GBs should have been a deciding factor on the list considering some of the world have cool designs involving how the GBs are given like the water racing in galleon is really interesting kinda like playing diddy kong racing.

I wanna say that Frantic Factory feels like the clear standout as far as levels go in this game. But your list is great. I gotta replay this game, Creepy Castle ruled

Even tho Jungle Japes is sort of a tutorial level, I think that it's one of my favorite levels juste cuz when you enter it you know it means that a great adventure is starting! Also, its one of the levels I played the most as a kid (cuz I sucked)

I played through this on my iphone and, despite growing up with red and blue and playing pokemon for fucking 27 years, this was actually the best pokemon game i ever played and, after my first playthrough of red, also my best pokemon experience. I never thought that i would ever truly enjoy a pokemon journey as an adult again but this made the magic happen.

Its a really solid game with some glaring weaknesses. I love it but it always makes me a bit sad how much potential was missed. Wish it was another masterpiece like Banjo Kazooie.
