In the last two videos you have asked your wife, what is the deal with snails in the baskets, why don't they just leave? She is clearly deaf, ignoring you or both. I would like to know as well hence my mother in law is just dumping snails in my pond and I never see them again.

It’s both….she feeds them and will later will collect them and eat them. They never leave because of the free food

Lovely video! Incredible place at that temple, small "pools" in different colors, in Sweden such would have fences around them for sure, me personally like these Thai style ones, in many western countries we tend to "overdo" about safiness. in general.

Yes..In Canada you would not be allowed near them. It’s like crossing a road in Thailand vs Canada…People don’t pay attention in Canada because they rely on vehicles to watch for them 🤷 In Thailand it’s totally different.

I keep a pop up shade canopy handy for working outside when the sun is too much which is most of the time lol. Skim coating walls is called rendering in masonry work.

TOTALLY agree with you on the noise. Most Thais from the village are deaf, loud and sleep heavy (snore) I dont agree with babies in front of the biggest speakers in SE Asia but music is considerably cheaper than…cyber cafes, VR rooms, escape rooms, amusement parks etc. Theres gonna be a big mental health pandemic coming here as many of the young children shout and scream due to consistent loud noise/loud family members. Me and you both arent heavy drinkers (one reason i think its hard to find friends here) and youll notice that many falang that drink have bigger egos and are generally loud so they get heard. The only way falang like us will get heard and not ignored is to SHOUT UP and use a little ego (ive found). Its all balance i guess. Sometimes you have to unleash your inner Monkey King 😉

One thing i learned living here, always check your change immediately after a purchase, always be present with any building works and never pay up front for anything. 😉 Shame about the fence posts. We had the fake wood tiles on our fence and gate and after a year or two they break so easy. So replacing them one by one for steel rods 🙄 Mai swai but keeps the bangers out! 😊
