I have the same issue and it’s pretty bad I noticed pulling the trigger upside down instantly locks the slide back so with firing upside down that lock up would happen and also when holding the slide lock down and pulling the trigger you can feel the friction. Mind you I haven’t fired the firearm yet neither do I want to wait until there’s enough friction for that not to happen. I would like to see a video if you can showing the process of taking apart everything to adjust that locking slide mechanism so there is no friction with the trigger mechanism

@Bullets4TheDevil16 күн бұрын
That front strap is ridiculous. I can see light through a gap between the front strap and the frame. For a thousand bucks, they should have milled the aluminum grip with stipling. They also have plastic optic plates.. for an expensive gun, this is cheap. Also, why don't they offer this full size in polymer. The only model in this version is 15 rnd compact.
@EddieMacTX116 күн бұрын
@Bullets4TheDevil I agree with you. I'm loving the gun, but I do feel it like it should be improved and have a premier feel to it.
@spencertidd16 күн бұрын
Mine's the same as yours - however if you hover the slide over the top of where the slide stop interfaces with it (wher the notch is), then pull the trigger it might do lock it back. Caused by interference between the trigger mech and the spring on the slide catch. It's a pretty simple fix - either an Apex trigger, or you can bend the spring/remove a small amount of material from the trigger. I suspect that S&W will produce a slightly modified trigger or slide catch in the future. Whether they will provide this to previous owners is another matter though.

I just picked mine up on Friday and haven't shot it yet but I checked the two things you mentioned. The front strap was nice and tight and as far as the slide lock lifting when you pull the trigger, it only seems to do that with the mag out. With the mag inserted the slide lock stays in normal position and doesn't move up or down when pulling the trigger. I don't know if you are having an odd problem or not. Just letting you know mine doesn't see to have the issue but I will see after I run a few boxes through it.

when ordering holster for the M&P 2.0, you need to make sure its for the Optic Ready version. The standard 2.0 Slide Release is flattened. The 2.0 Optic Ready, Metal, and CORE all have a bigger Slide Release. Just because holster has optic cut does not mean it is molded for Optic Ready (I found out hard way on couple holsters)
