I got the helix 10 with the latest lakemaster vx map card too.. the ultrex seems to be what the pros favor... Hi, I purchased a run and gun charger for my 36V lithium I purchased from power house. My cranking battery is a AGM battery. When charging off the water I use my minn kota on boarding charger (cannot charge lithium batteries) for my agm cranking and my other AGM. The charger I have for my new power house battery is model BCH3610). With that being said, do I have to turn off the 60 amp breaker that was with the run and gun while using both chargers off that water so the two charging currents don’t interfere with each other or do I leave the 60 amp breaker on? My question is do the two separate ways of charging mess anything up because the gun and run are tied to each battery? Or does the run and gun recognize I’m using two different types of chargers? I’m pretty new to this and don’t want to screw this up. Sorry if this may seem like a dumb question
@BassinBuntin Жыл бұрын
You can just turn the breaker off by pushing the button or leave it both charging will not hurt anything. Just use the run and gun to charge everything without adding the backup charger that is only needed if the run and gun goes out.

How does it ride compared to your nitro

I think it rides much better. It cuts through the water much better. It's also a foot longer. Top speed is about the same as the Nitro.

Great video! Just learned a lot about these units! Does it matter if the Lake Master chips are plugged into the Helix unit on the bow or does it need to be plugged into the Helix at the console or does it not matter as long as they are networked together? I have a similar setup as you with the Wisconsin and Great Plains Lake Master Plus cards. I bought this boat with the Helix and Minn Kota Ultrex already set up and just trying to dial it in now. Thanks
@BassinBuntin Жыл бұрын
If you use the Humminbird network it doesn't matter. All the features will be available from any unit in the network. However, if you do not use the network adapter you'll have to have the unit you want to utilize these features connected to the Ultrex. Hope this helps. Tight lines!

I just want to know what position on the Perko that your run and guns are hooked up to as well as your 16v and 12v or output? I have a similar setup that I’m working on this second and trying to determine what position onnthe Perko switch i need to hook up the run and guns. Currently my 16v is on position 1 and my 12v is on position 2. Output just has the positive wire running to my circuit board for my electronics.

Ok so I have a question for the electrical engineer….. Why couldn’t you just run a voltage dropper/regulator of the 24-36V trolling motor batteries to get the 16V for your electronics?
@BassinBuntin Жыл бұрын
You could. However, isolating the source ensures I get a nice clean voltage without interference from other equipment connected to that source. It's also more reliable because by using a Perko switch, I can swap from 16V to 12V if I have an issue. If everything is powered from the 24V or 36V source, like you said, then it's a single point of failure.

Any tracking features require the Humminbird Lakemaster map chips. The trolling motor definitely works independently of the map system and Humminbird unit, but certain features require it.

10:35 you said it is armed but you had the locker open and you slammed it shut. Then you set alarm off again at 11:50 My question is why didn’t it sense when you slammed it.. hmmm Makes me wonder how reliable it actually is. I have installed many alarm systems and this seems cheesy wire snips and it’s done. Does it send you a notification if power is disconnected?
@anglerarmor4588 Жыл бұрын
It does send a notification if the power is lost and since the CPU also senses motion you can’t get to the wires without triggering the alarm. It also has an internal back up battery that powers the alarm for up to 6 hours independent of the external power source.

I recently purchased the Angler Armor for the same reason protecting my investment in the boat and all the Additions like 2 Talons , and all the other equipment.Traveling to Florida from PA and staying overnight at a hotel scared the crap out me that someone would steal the boat. I finally set it up today but had a little trouble with the app. I emailed Brian the owner and he spent 1 hour helping me fix my problem on the phone on a Sunday afternoon. I can now relax that my boat will be safe.

There's also a recap video from a trip to Toledo Bend where I catch a 6+ on the Whopper Plopper. Check it out too. I've caught a lot of fish on it. The A-rig I used in this video does have lighter wire. I selected it on purpose because of the clear water at Dale Hollow. It wouldn't be applicable in every situation but I had no trouble using it.
