Is there a way to use this, or similar, to reduce compression artifacts from an MP3 file? The specific file I have, has very noticeable compression around cymbals.

Don’t know if I missed it cuz can’t watch the whole thing, but what do you recommend for panning these? They seem to already have a stereo footprint. Should I pan them all to add separation / clarity? If so, should it be stereo pan, balance pan, or binaural? I’ve honestly heard differing things regarding each.

Hi, thanks for the great video. Quick question please. Once you're happy with the mastering is it then a case of bouncing down to a WAV as normal to upload to your distribution company ?
@shadrickchimanga4261Күн бұрын
Play around with the settings, make sure it’s not clipping, after that you’re all good to export it in any file (WAV or MP3)

I'm starting to get it now. I'm used to LLMS and there's one feature I'm struggling to figure out (if possible). In LMMS you can select all bars (Crtl+A) and adjust the volume knob of one. This balances the loudness in all the bars making them the same. In Audacity however, it keeps them all at the same values while increasing/decreasing their velocity rather than quantizing it. Does anyone know if this is possible to do in Ableton?

Thank you! I'm a beginner. Tried a few different videos around. It's a complicated software, and you've made it so much easier for a first timer to really begin and grapple with the basics. Thank you :)

Great tutorial, but I don't understand why you use session view this much. Arrangement view is primarily used for music production and I would have much preferred to see more of that.

i remember first watching this video a couple years ago and so happy how many more people has found this! This is BY FAR the absolute BEST tutorial your going to find on youtube for learning ableton. I've been through relentless searches and all others honestly was skipping around all over the place making it very confusing and just wanting to show off their beats. But this guy here does it the absolute best and makes things so understandable. I was completely clueless to music production until i stumbled across this video and I haven't been the same since. Making music is now a breeze using Ableton thanks to Thomas. 🔥🔥♥♥

As far as I understand, there's no need to mix down two two tracks, you can just master the full multitrack mix. So much easier to go back and change stuff.
