@@GarryGabbageOfficial honestly not having EMGs isn’t a big deal, any high output pickup will do, but yeah I have the Bgelais Metallica golden classics IR pack, look him up on KZbin, his IRs are completely free!

@@maddoxmay611 I have ephiphone stock 20 dollar allinco pickups in my les Paul. I’d bet they aren’t high output. I already bought emgs but havnt installed them yet. Think that’ll make a different? Especially with them chugs? Xd

Man I’m so sorry I haven’t been checking my KZbin comments 😅😅, I use the pod go as a preamp and run it into the fx loop return of a fender gtx100 combo. On the pod itself, I have it connected to my old Mac computer and use the pod go edit software. If you check out BGelias (I think that’s how you spell it) KZbin channel, he has a video and a link to a google drive folder to download the tones, once it’s downloaded, you can just drag and drop them to the IR section of the pod go edit, I hope that makes sense. Once the IR is launched, I like to turn the “mix” down to 50 percent, it gives it more high end and less of a “blanket over the speaker” tone, but that’s just with my amp, it might work differently with other amps. Oh, and I’m using the “Cali IV Lead” as the amplifier and have a parametric EQ and a 10 band eq after the amp and cab to scoop some of the mids, I know this is a very long comment but I hope that tells you what you need to know!

@@maddoxmay611 well i drove two hours to the store and was not even asked if i could be helped.. planned on dropping some pretty good loot in store. But left empty handed. I won't go back to the store again. But my customer service rep is awesome i just contact him and get things online.. the in store people are not on par with the message the company sends out about in store visits.

I have a fender GTX Amplifier, I basically use that as the speaker. I run the pod go into the fx loop return so it’s the pedal hitting the power amp, hope that makes sense, thanks man!

Yes! Both of my guitars have emgs and I’m not familiar with passive pickups but the POD GO does sound great with emgs!

@@maddoxmay611 no worries dude. Check out the IK MULTIMEDIA Mesa boogie plugins. They’ve got some legit stuff to get you in the ball park. Also, James used a Gibson 500T in the bridge for his guitar when he tracked Master of puppets

@@charlesrocks really? I didn’t know that! I remember seeing a video where someone (possibly Ola) saying that he tracked the album with his king v with invader pickups, im assuming that he used both? I’ll have to do more research on plugins, I don’t really know a whole lot on how to use them or how to hook them up, im also interested in checking out some impulse responses for my POD GO.

My bad man, I forgot make a video, school has started back and I’m more busy, I just used a Rolland JC120 and a chorus block for the clean. For the dirty tone, I believe I used the “Cali Rectifire” with a boost in front and an EQ after. I’ll make a video soon if my settings, lately I’ve found that I’m really enjoying the “archetype” amp which is supposed to be a PRS Archon. This is a great unit for the price!

I don’t have Facebook, but I can totally make a video showing off my settings!

Hey thanks man! I just got the pod maybe a month ago and haven’t messed with the software yet. I’m still trying to figure out the unit, I’m mainly trying to understand the impulse responses. In this video I am not using a cab on the pod, I’m just running into the fx loop of my fender gtx.
