The Argentine tango on shows like this is such a far cry from the real thing. As are many of the latin dances, like the salsa even. Go to a milonga in any city, or a salsa dance night, and it doesn't look like what you see on DWTS.

I know we are not supposed to use disabled people as our inspiration but I swear one can't look at Amy without feeling touched by her energy and drive. And it's impossible to think her synthetic legs as "less than" after seeing her move, it would just leave anybody in awe for the sheer excellence and extraordinary talent. I can't help it I'm feeling inspired in "maybe the world is a place full of dreams and possibilities after all" kind of way.

Most of the professional dancers do all the work while the 'stars' do some tricks, but basically you can tell they are counting steps and anticipating moves. Derek is a one in a million talent, a true professional, and Kelly was so good you almost couldn't tell which was the pro and which was the 'star'. Pickler is such a talented and sweet woman.
