@@stardustplasma buffering a quick low parry on a timing read is completely different than ducking for a potential read. It’s not so much hate towards asuka but annoyance towards the tekken 8 system with them removing chicken( parry reversal and now we can’t low parry). Remember Micheal Murray why would you step a hell sweep when you can block it. As justification for Kazuya’s tracking hell sweep in tekken 7. That’s what your argument sounds like. This game has a lot of problems.

@@1AdA-Greats im confused. you've never been able to parry airborne moves with generic punch/kick parries. If we are making comparisons then wouldn't your "lows a low" defense also equate to you supporting kick reversals being able to stop hopkicks/orbitals/other cancans because "a mid is a mid"? Or punch reversals for Steve wr2 because "a mid is a mid"? The move is only not low parriable bc it is airborne which has been how tekken is for as at least tag1 onwards

because cancans is a low high, if you duck and block the first hit, asuka and jun are -25. it's also alot more steppable than you think aswell!

@@vchris8913 unlike the other cancans that are all mid mid, Asuka and Jun cancans are LOW highs. Because the first hit is a low, it beats armor moves.

@@stardustplasma it does i just rechecked. That was one of the buffs it received on launch, no longer being duckable after the first hit and outright jails (like hwo d44)

@@squiddyseut6103 my understanding of jailing was more so strings that if you got hit once, the second move would guarantee hit like hwo d3, 4 or jin df1,4. i dont recall the second hit of d3+4 ever being duckable if the first one hit in t7, t5, or tag1 and i didnt play t6 or tag2

Considering how shit is Asuka in this game those few busted moves like b3 and can cans are the only thing that makes her somewhat playable. As an Asuka main I would rather have Asuka have a decent jab and sidestep (which are the worst in this game) than these cancans that I don’t use

@okaberintaro3936 If you don't use can cans then you're gimping yourself. She don't need a good jab and I doubt her side step is that bad, she's a small character. You get pressed then just throw can cans out. The risk reward for that is heavily in jun/asuka's favor.

No clue. It says it gas a 10 frame startup but im pretty sure it's more of a 17-18 frame startup which means there's a decently sized window to hit her out of it. Because the move is also only 3 hits, there's also a 20 frame window between her second and third kick. This same knock down works on Xiaoyu too but is way less consistent.
