I’ve completed about 3 sections. I held it up to my head and it goes all the way to my shoulder. Is that how long it should be?

My Dr gave me her great GMA, GMA and her mom’s Steel crochet hooks. Some are so tiny it’s amazing that you can actually crochet with thread

I have to have ergonomic hooks because I can use aluminum steel hooks for short periods of time because of my arthritis issues. Ergonomics only when the knuckles start going backwards on me!

How do you store or display your hooks?
@BAGODAYCROCHET2 сағат бұрын
They are not displayed... they are sorted by brand and are put away. 😊

I delighted in this video, being a collector of many things myself! Would love to see how you store them or display them!

Crystal, those knock off hooks appear to be nut pickers to me. Things you would use if you’re cracking nuts and a piece gets caught inside the shell. I know you said you have great eyesight, but you’re at the age where you probably could use some readers. Just my opinion, but I know they certainly make life easier.

I just went to the eye doctor about 6 weeks ago... I have 20/15 vision. It's excellent. I just have bad lighting where I'm sitting 😊

I need to thank you! I can crochet simple things, so long as they’re square, as I am not a natural crocheter, but your tutorial gives me hope! It looks so easy to follow, that I have great confidence that I will be able to make this project! Again, thank you; I truly appreciate your time and effort in making this video ☺️ Have a blessed day xx

When we start increasing stitches, we start with the single DC but the increase ends with 2 DC, for every row - at the end, between stitch markers - this way to end with increasing won't lead to assymetry? I am just a learner and followed your wonderful steps but would like to understand this moment, please
@BAGODAYCROCHET2 сағат бұрын
No, it will be fine... you still have the same amount of stitches in the specific spots. It doesn't matter where the increases are at, as long as the stitch count is correct

That decorative thing you called a cheap knock off broken hook, it's not a hook at all. It is part of a nut cracking set. It picks the nuts out of the shell once shell is cracked open.

I use vintage boye steel hooks for beading my knitting, usually a #10. I prefer the older ones....the shaft is longer & smoother...the newer ones are so c***pily made that they actually snag the yarn!! I've noticed that you've never mentioned "dritz", which are swiss made. I can remember when I gave you your first plastic "hero". 😉 My goal is to find another #10 gunmetal boye, I accidentally broke mine. 😭

Hobby Lobby and Michaels Loops & Threads has a copper yarn that would match. Hobby Lobby is called 152 Terra Cotta. I dont know the color name for Loops & Threads but it is a nice sized skein.

I got my grams hooks when she passed away. Bought a few old ones myself. At this stage I have 57 crochet hooks, 19 used to belong to my grams, some are so thin hooks that you barely see the hook itself.. I will pass it on to my granddaugter one day.
