I was interested in visiting Magnolia Plantation to learn more about its powerful history. However, I'm confused with the ambiguity of the tour guide's explanation of slave labor being ideal. Is the preservation of the plantation viewed as a way of glorifying slavery or to acknowledge how far our history has come?

Hi Ashly. Thanks for the comment. I think it's the latter. He certainly wasn't glorifying it. I think he was just pointing out that it served its purpose. We loved our visit there and learned so much about the period. I think you should definitely go. Regards, Adam

Where are the homes built with bamboo. Or how young mothers are forced to make it on their own, as their family believes that they made a disgrace on them. I have watched many videos in Vietnam, and the women do not get the respect as the men do, and the women do most of the work, they gather the food they cook the food they grow in the food. tell me that part of Vietnam thank you

@@mountainous_port Hi there. Thanks for the question. I didn't see any kids on our trip. There are child fares on offer, but there are no organised activities and so on for children. You'd probably need to bring plenty of activities you can do in your cabin. Adam

My wife and I were booked on the Ghan (platinum sleeper) in late May. 4 days before we were due to head off, her father died. Now, I get that their terms say that cancelling at such short notice means no refund, I really do. But I would have expected a halfway decent company to offer some sort of token partial credit for a future trip. Just as a gesture of good faith. But no. Beyond are beyond belief. Not only will I never travel with them, I will - and am - telling everyone I know this story.

We went on the river cruise and it was awesome. Adrian was our waiter and he had a great sense of humor. The food was great to. Only problem was it wasn't long enough. lol.

The air is so clean and bike paths r the best U can even put bikes on trams and buses and 90% say thank U to bus drivers when reaching destination- and the Aboriginal Embassy although quiet most of the time on the 26th January it's amazing with locals and interstate as well as international people walking together in respect to Aboriginal people and there land- Canberra the best has so much to offer

Great episode Adam & good to see the Hilux / Gator X combo on the Oodnadatta; we've got the same setup & plan to do that route from Marla to Coober Pedy via William Ck next year. What tyre pressures we're you running on the Hilux and Van thanks?

Thanks Ross. Much appreciated. 40 in the car and 50 in van. But we didn’t drive fast and had the Hilux in 4x4. There are varying views about whether you should reduce the pressure in your tyres. Adam
