I remember when this album was recorded live in Dallas, Tx after the District Meeting ended. True Way COGIC with Supt. Gant, Pastor Thompson, Scott, Kelly Davis, What some church we had. I loved attending the district and jurisdictional convocations, Texas NE Bishop JN Haynes. My mom has the signed original album with the white cover. LOL.

Riddle me this brother, when our people they were worshiping Jesus as it was taught to them. Why did God not show them Mercy? Why did Jesus turn his back on them for a hundreds of years? Make it makes sense! If anything Christianity has been a hindrances to our people!

If I am understanding your question, you want to know why it appears that God, does not seem to respond to the black community, even when they are worshiping Him, according to the Bible?? The answer to that is very simple. It is because they aren't worshiping Him according to the Bible. They are worshiping Him according to what they believe the Bible says about worship. There is a BIG DIFFERENCE!!! You can't worship God one minute, and then go out and live like the Devil the next. The Bible says we are to worship Him in Spirit and in Truth [St. John :24].. Most of the black community, over 90 percent, completely miss this point due in large part to preachers that don't understand this, or completely ignore it. True worship, is a 24/7 thing. You can't worship God, and, at the same time go against what He says is right and wrong. I used to be cruising down the highway to this tune coming home from work back in the 80's. I declare my truck used to sway back and forth across the road to the rythm of the music. 😀 Great song. What a great legacy of music is that he left. He will be missed.

We used to have a great time listening to this song as a kid. Years Later I bought the CD and one Saturday before the choir marched in for an Annual session service, we were on the bus having a great time listening to this song. Now we sing this song during the offering at the church I attend now, Finally got the LP. Douglas "Mr. My Soul Has Been Anchored In The Lord" Miller gone but his legacy, music and spirit continues to live on,
