Pero el comentario que más me gustó fué de la que dijo que le cortaban la cola a los monitos y por eso sufrían infecciones y que se la cortan para poder ponerle el pañal etc. ¿Cómo puede ser posible que haya tanta ingnorancia en la mente de un individuo? Primates, big cat (lions, tigers, etc.), and big snakes shouldn't be pets! If one needs rescued, go for it but contact a rescue center that specializes in rescues. My cousin (years ago) had a capuchin that he raised from a baby. He was adorable then grew up and attacked my aunt. She had to have reconstructive surgery on her face. Fortunately, she was fine later but it was a hard road for her.

I am totally against keeping a monkey as a pet. I have just one question. It is always pointed out they need vet care. How do they get vet care in the wild? If it so important for them to get it.

I do talk to my cats when they follow me around. having had cats all my life i have learned cat speak, and its easy to tell what they want just by paying a little bit of attention.

I loved my farm cat back when i was a child. My mom was cat mom at the time, but she was a big part in both our lives. She did the cutest thing.. if we slept in she would jump up on the bed, and gently paw your nose, and wait <pawpaw> if you dont respond she tickles your face with her whiskers. Once you move she jumps down " my job hear is done, now feed me" LOL

I hope more and more people get this message that monkeys are not pets. Too many unscrupulous people are exploiting monkeys on KZbin and social media for likes, subs, and profit. Fans of these channels think these monkey owners are showing their pets 'love' but in fact it is far from that. Taking a baby monkey away from its mother is incredibly damaging to the monkey. Monkeys were never meant to be raised in isolation among humans, and these monkey owners are making a grave mistake humanizing their monkeys. Anyone that purchases monkeys as pets, by default, are NOT showing true love and concern. If they did have true love for monkeys they would never bought one in the first place. Not one person in this world can justify a pet monkey as having a 'better' life than it would be among its own peers in the wild.

Depends on the type of monkeys you keep as a pet. The key is to get a small monkey that remains small. Get it as a baby so it grows up knowing you as their parental figure and provider, have plenty of income for various expenses. Show your pet monkey plenty of love and care and appropriate discipline and you'll be good to go. ❤

It seems the majority, if not all your viewers, already agree monkeys should not be pets and know more about primate behavior than those who keep pet monkeys. That's not really spreading the word unfortunately. That seems to always be the way things go.

These people don’t even know the difference between monkeys and apes - or even that there is one. Beyond that, practically every statement is prefaced by “They CAN BE” or “They MAY BE”. All kinds of possibilities exist, but they make no claim regarding whether any of these things are NECESSARILY so. This video is worthless.

Please remove images of orangutans, gorillas and chimpanzees. They are not monkeys. They’re Great Apes. Monkeys should not be pets - ever. Nor should apes. But if’s likely that owning a great would cause you great harm once sexually mature. Would you raise a human child as an ape or monkey? Of course not. Why would anyone think they should raise a monkeys as a human child. Don’t do it!

You wouldnt believe it but many people especially in the english speaking part of the world and have never once worked with even been within five feet without the window at the zoo between them and dont have education about them and will give care instructions to people that do live in the same places that monkeys live and dont believe this think anyone can do it like a goldfish

If you want a "unique" pet, then get a lizard, axolotl or arthropod instead.
