This recording has a weird tonal quality. Almost like it was set down inside a cardboard box? I like the other iterations much better.

Considering it’s age and the fact that it’s a recording of a recording, I think it sounds pretty dang good ! But, you’re absolutely right, many other versions are much better, especially the old old live one. This song is, for some reason, my favorite of theirs. There’s just something about it that touches my soul. Won’t try to explain it, I just play it a few times a day, every day, and have since I first heard it MANY moons ago. I’m 74, so that’s a lot of moons ago. 😂 I’ve always loved this group, always will. I’m a huge fan of Tim mainly, but I adore them all. So sad they’re not all with us anymore. Way toooo many of the greats are dying off here lately. Kris K. will probably be the next. 😢 Anyway, I’m blathering. Hope you’re having a great life. Love and blessings to you and yours.
