Hi! Thanks for the request. Spice levels are pretty subjective and I personally read all levels so I don't really track it. I'm happy to answer questions about any particular books though. This series/author is open-door, maybe low-medium spice for me.

If you have access to Libby or Hoopla with your local library, that's an excellent resource for listening to audiobooks for free. That's how I get almost all of my audiobooks. If you want to support independent bookstores, buying at Libro.fm (Membership sign-up: www.awin1.com/cread.php?awinmid=25361&awinaffid=1034901&ued=https%3A%2F%2Flibro.fm%2Fmembership%3Fmp%3DSWITCH) will give a portion of funds to indie bookstores. And then if you want, there's always free trials floating around for Audible (which is the Amazon source - amzn.to/3xQZngO).

I’m such a fan of your books !! Thank you for sharing these awesome stories with the world ❤ I’m recently retired and wish I could afford to buy all the physical copies of the series ! I have 5 minutes left of book 3 and almost want to cry that books 4 and 5 aren’t available for free listening yet but it’s giving me something to look forward too ! Will there be a book about Tom in the future? He’s a fascinating character.

Another thing I love regarding the domestic violence aspect of this story is that the female character don't justify the abuses. She acknowledges that it stemmed out from her ex husband's jealousy and in no way a form of love.

I love the male main character in this novel. He is kind, soft, and principled. I also like that he was not made a scoundrel who keeps mistresses from side to side and only has eyes for the Dowager Duchess.

I've found that people have varying degrees of interpretation for spice, so I try to focus more on plot instead. One person's very spicy is another person's mild, so I don't do a great job of tracking spice levels. If you have any questions about specific books, I'll do my best to try to answer.

I love this plot Carolyn Davidson’s entire backlist is historical marriage of convenience. Also I recommend Marriage of Inconvemience by Cheryl Bolen, The Lost Lieutenant by Erica Vetsch, The convenient Sacrifice by Ann Elizabeth Fryer (KU) The Belle of Belgrave by Mimi Matthews, The Convenient Cowboy by Lacy Williams, The Cowboy’s Last Chance by Jody Hedlund, Wolf Creek Wedding by Penny Richards, The Admiral’s Penniless Bride by Carla Kelly, Bride for Keeps by Melissa Jagears Matthew by Emma Lang. These are a mix of open and closed door romance recs that fit this trope that I loved.
