An underrated song that hit the airwaves three decades ago. Morrissey truly resonated the mid Nineties!

Love Tom Petty. Saw him and the Heartbreakers sing this song live, remember that and always sing it when life gets nearly unbearable. RIP Tom ❤ 🙏🙏🙏🙏✝️✝️✝️✝️

A lot of people say that Freddie Mercury is the best singer in rock music . But to me Paul is the best of all times. He got that grit in his voice that was made for rock.

Whenever someone drives by with windows down and some dumb dubstep bass stuff on full volume, I load the player with old school rock'n roll. STURDY AS ROCK, STRONG AS METAL, IT SHALL NEVER DIE OR BE FORGOTTEN.

Born in 1950, some say if you can remember the 60`s, you weren`t there.... rubbish! I remember it like yesterday, and it was the decade mature in. No regrets.

Apparently the song is about Paul Kossoffs adiction to heroin, an addiction which killed him only a few years later

Played this record to death the Christmas & New Year it came out (1982). It's what you'd expect from a songwriter, singer & guitarist of Buck's ability, it's absolutely wonderful throughout ...

My guess is Paul sings naturally giving the appearance of no effort, but hundreds of hour’s practice and solid technique will be behind that. The best of the best singers.

It's 1975....and this is what started it all off for me. I first heard this song (on Radio Caroline) and I thought: *"what the hell is this brilliant music. It's just so different."* I then 'found' *The Stranglers!* What a brilliant band! And they have always been with me ever since.
