Doesn't really look like the best grip. The Finnish grip looks better for transferring force through the threading. Proof is in the pudding. There are no American throwers in the top 10 for last 3 decades.

The best way to stay low through the circle is to do the glide motion low, and driving of the hill is a mistake, because it blocks your motion so you are physically obligated to either do a jump or to do your glide with an upwards angle.

The 4 different grips all have their different traits, all up to athletes type of throw and what they want to achieve as well as to counter act the weather conditions, at least this is what Chris Weilert 2 time 4th place in Olympic trial taught me 😁

The fast you're going the higher you jumo, and the better your form is. I learned this from experience

No glide is for kids that have zero coordination!! Spin is for kids and athletes that want to rotate In shotput and discus! If your a glider you will need the weight room badly! It’s all muscle well the spin is technique!

I agree with you BUT this guy is NOT a shot putter he is a decathlete or something like that....he does not focus on shot put...shot put will just give him some points so he doesn't focus on becoming huge or too good at shot put

It's not really that hard to this or at least to know the positioning you just gotta keep practicing your stance. I am a beginner in javelin and I can get the form pretty accurately. Just keep practicing to perfect it
