So much bullshit. "Now that you know how to export to EU you can export everywhere". 1 before it was easy and didn't cost much to do business in the single market, but now it cost time and money: so it makes UK firms less competitive in EU (the market at you door that was 50% of your economy) and you will sell much less or nothing to EU because you have now a heavy weight on your shoulders that you have voted for. It's mathematical: other firms in Europe won't have the paperwork you have and they will beat you on their EU market if you are in direct competion with them. So the brexit promise of less paperwork is become a mountain of paperwork because you are a third country like Bangladeshi and you have no power (nada, zero, zip..) in EU. 2: To learn how to sell to EU doesn't makes you better for the rest of the world because you could already do that when you when in the single market. And selling to a country is just to learn how the paperwork works for this country, and this is different for every country. So the experience for EU market won't help you to conquer the so attractive Bangladeshi market.

I would like to suggest that here in the US we use large single and double axle what we call box vans here in the United States. It may not need the amount of training it takes to hire drivers. It could in theory relieve the shipping crisis that's currently happening in the UK on a local level. That maybe something the finance industry could get behind although it would need a thorough vetting to convince the financiers.

See it from the bright side,, Now sales of British products to Mainland Europe is collapsing and Trump's promish of a special deal was a lie you can shut down factory facilities and dont need a lot of skilled hands to produce goods.

I had to stop watching as this was utter nonsense...it's not as if I have no idea I've worked in manufacturing and logistics for over 20 years and am currently building a start-up business. When I say I'm concerned with access to markets I mean the EU, it was up until brexit as part of the extended domestic market. When the banker made a comparison with the United States of America the clue was in the name, they have no trade barriers between states with overall federal standards. You're scraping the bottom of the barrel with now businesses are forced to learn how to complete export documentation they will instantly be equipped to export to the entire planet. Screams of rhetoric, opinion and beliefs rather than reality...please stop making these thinly vailed political think-tank policy opinion pieces.

This guy really acted as though Chinese COVID stats are real…I bet he trusts all numbers that come from the CCP…Hong Kong he acts as if it is a footnote. Finally, he is ignoring virtually all the political risk of investing in China (Ant Group, DIDI, etc.) as internal political risk and barely touched on external risks with sanctions (not discussing IP left, hacking, belt and road pushback, etc)

You only talk more about Kenya and Rwanda but EAST AFRICA is more than that, on the trade agreement btn UK AND KENYA is not beneficial to African countries because East African countries cannot compete with industrial products from UK, THE OLD TRADITIONAL OF AFRICAN COUNTRIES PRODUCING LAW MATERIALS AND UK PRODUCING INDUSTRIAL PRODUCTS cannot work

Glad we opted out of rcep... We shouldn't increase our dependency on china to level of asean and australia... Its clear that they will arm twist india when needed just like they do with asean, australia and all.. Much needed domestic reforms and privatisation are happening in india... Now focus should be on bilateral FTA and liberalisation of home market..

By reflecting away 30% of the ISR the atmospheric albedo cools the earth much like that reflective panel behind a car's windshield. For the greenhouse effect to perform as advertised "extra" energy must radiate upwards from the surface. Because of the non-radiative heat transfer processes of the contiguous atmospheric molecules such ideal BB upwelling "extra" energy does not exist. Backed by an experimental demonstration, the gold standard of classical science. www.linkedin.com/posts/nicholas-schroeder-55934820_climatechange-greenhouse-co2-activity-6749812735246254080-bc6K There is no "extra" energy for the GHGs to "trap" and "back" radiate and no greenhouse warming. With no greenhouse effect what CO2 does or does not do, where it comes from or where it goes and its climate sensitivity value becomes moot. Equally moot are temperatures, ice caps, glaciers, polar bears, sea levels, hurricanes, nuclear power, solar minimums, CH4, ….
