Thanks so much for this fix. Last week i tried spraying the clutch pedal from the footwell. It didnt solve the problem. Then i saw your video yesterday and sprayed through the slit in the rubber cover with WD40 Silicone spray. Now the squeak is gone.

What state you at that requires that red flag at the back of the car? Do NY state require a red flag in the back of car for hauling kayak/canoes? And thank you for them details of how to tie down a boat onto car. It helps for my first time with a boat.

Very nice approach to loading a canoe by yourself. If you were to make this video again, it would be great if someone else could hold the phone or whatever you used to record the video and film you going through the motions of cartopping and tying down the canoe. My problem is being able to hoist one end of the canoe up to the car. If I could do that, the rest would be easy enough.
