I remember reading A Lot Of Hard Yakka back in the late 1990s by Simon Hughes, what an entertaining read, great writing. Love listening to Simon Mann on TMS too, knowledgeable & entertaining & like all the TMS folk, a proper cricket lover & maybe Aggers successor. Kate & Alex also have an amusing podcast based on the odd episode I've listened to, plus Alex has a floodlight named after her now. How can you not love cricket? : )

His voice is excellent. ICC should look into his commentary for future ICC events. He should be back as global commentator again.

Wayne Larkins wasn't an enigma. He was a talented batsman who failed to achieve the results or have the career his talents warranted. That was his fault

People are always fooled.Playing with a helmet or without a helmet.Nowadays cricket is a club cricket.Anyone will score a century even a tailender because of the helmet.

Definitely a "Gentle Giant". Myself and a guy called Zoom were friends, and we were friends with Vincent's daughters in the late 89's. I remember being introduced to this man, and I was back then nicknamed Stompie; now can you imagine the handshake? Lol....
