Should I spray some WD40 to remove the hex nut? It's difficult to unscrew it.
@diybanditКүн бұрын
Logical first step. Spraying upward though is tough as it doesn’t penetrate as well. Maybe turn water off then turn handle to expose hex screw facing up, the spray and let sit. Careful not to strip the head. If you do, search my channel for what to do (this happened to me twice).

Serious question, why would you need to coat aluminum? It doesn’t rust in water.
@diybandit4 күн бұрын
My ocd mostly! No, I was thinking it would help maintain the finish better and protect it from water spots, soap stains, and maybe corrosion or discoloration from cleaners. I didn’t really see a downside to it.

I saw somewhere else a guy actually put the trim between two pieces of wood , a couple 2x2s to keep it tight. and cut it with a regular saw blade on the miter saw. Slowly, of course. Worked great!

Yeah yeah, that's fine if you never wash your shower curtain and then have to go through this process again and again.

could someone help me. I used redgard in shower. Mostly videos in youtube were without primering and I did the same. But then I started clean and noticed that some drops removed so easy, I did test on my wall and redgard was removed just by slightly pulling it out. Also I noticed when I was used brash, the redgard was dry so fast, just less then 30 second it was became dark red... it was not enough time to put fiber mesh on the wall. It is normal or not?
@diybandit5 күн бұрын
I don’t think it’s normal for RedGard to dry that quickly. I remember it taking much longer to dry to the touch, but depends on temperature and humidity. If it’s drying too fast, it might be due to applying it in thin layers, too much ventilation, or using it in an overly warm or dry environment. As for the fiber mesh, it should be applied while the RedGard is still wet, so try applying it more evenly and allowing it to stay moist longer. If the RedGard is peeling off easily, there may be an issue with the surface prep or bonding. You might want to consider priming the wall for better adhesion.

Hi, thanks for the video. Very helpful for my installation. I have an issue. The bar has about 1/4 sag in the center after everything has been hung. I’ve tripled checked the bar with the stationary glass removed and it does not sag. Any pointers?
@CheefSpleef9 күн бұрын
I was having the same exact issue and was so worried, i didn’t have any alcohol around so i used a glasses lens cleaning pad (similar to to your spray) and it worked wonders, thanks a million!

I've used rustoleum in the past. I also have a hitch cover but it can add to the rust as dirt and water accumulates in the hitch and most people don't remove it to blast it out when washing the car.

Curious if you had to order a kit that specifically opens from right to left? Did the guideblock come as-is or did you have to adjust it at all to allow the door to open in the direction that you wanted? Thanks!
@diybandit18 күн бұрын
It was the standard kit. Not a special order. The guideblock you are referring to adjusts.

Can you install a vessel sink at the front edge of the counter? If not, why not? I have a mirror cabinet above and it takes too much from the depth of the sink, that's why I ask if the sink can be placed at the edge of the counter. Thank you!
