my fashion lessons have taught me a specific way to draw the figure but I don’t like it at all. I find it hard to design on the figure i’ve been taught because we start off by drawing a “square robot” figure and then adding curves, it always turns out too masculine for my designing perspective so I will try to use this method on my figures next time 😭

what could this mean, anything has lines, you just see it the same way as others unless you focus hard on niche details that is mostly important for your art i think its unrelated from freehand drawing, you have good overall memory of your subjects pattern and shape to do this

No, not at all. I’m a creative writer who tries to concept art my writings to help develop them as a hobbiest artist. I have done free pen work and it comes out okay but feels like I don’t have a grasp of many shapes and how they’d look enough to make them flow. I can picture scenes and characters and moments vividly in my head and put them on the page with words but struggle much more so when trying to sketch out even a small part of them on the page. When I succeed in developing and seeing a glimpse of that part on paper however, it’s so satisfying in a unique way and helps me develop my world, so I keep practicing. Perhaps one day I’ll be able to see drawing lines with lots of experience in art.

being skillful with words on it's own is not to be undermined!!💕 indeed if you don't give up it will all come with experience,, it's just a process like any other. nothing imposssible!!!
