I like how phoenix simplifies powerful features. Like the presence feature is super simple to see, but it solves one of the complex problems to handle in other tech.

One of the most insightful talks I've ever seen. Isaac, please, disable the docs pop-ups on hover in the future, they are very distracting.

This is so great! Thank you. Also, you can 10x execution (decompression) speed using zstd instead of xz without much impact on compressed size, and if the uncompressed runtime is large enough, you can probably compress it better with zstd --long than with xz. Just a quick FYI

I would love to know more about the edge database for local-first applications.. Is this something Fission is only using internally, or will it be available to others, and does it run on the Elixir / Datalog implementation shown in the presentation?

in NodeJS implementing presence is the easiest thing you can ever do, when I watch elixir/phoenix stuff people are like: oh you have Agent, Genserver, blah blah redis, it's all complicated, use presence and stay like a donkey, what if you don't want use phoenix? well you are out of luck! what if you use phx and you have an issue with presence, wait for Chris McCord to solve your issue because he is the only person knowing how presence work, and people in comment are brainwashed like .... I don't know

This talk is impressive in 2 ways 1. The description of the video 2. Number of useless words, jokes and information This talk is at most a lightning talk The first 15 minutes are about nothing, how did you manage that? Aren't you just a bit ashamed taking up an hour of life from all those people? Best regards please do better 🙏

Fine tuning is not always better than in context learning. In fact for most use cases it's not. What a hand wavy talk.

In the context of the speaker and his books, it's 100% about Elixir. If you've read the two books, this is the clarifications I seek.
