I know I’m late but I just came across this video and I’m one of the very few young people who is planning on moving to Staten Island so that way it would be a cheaper option, it’d be closer to retail jobs like Walmart, and it’s safer and more affordable than the other boroughs so I figure that $3500-4000 would drop to about $2500-3500.

love love love your video. I teared up a little and feeling all sorts of joy and amazing possibilities. I've always wanted to move to NYC since I was younger. Last year after deciding to start doing the things I really want, I decided to travel first before moving and thankfully my mind circled back to NYC during my travels. I enjoyed my travel - of course ups and downs within the 7months solo traveling, but there came a point where I was just ready. Ready to live my dream however crazy it sounds. I have been hopeful, thinking possitive and of course with some people trying to be "encouraging" with their negative thoughts and words, it's a bit hard to avoid it especially when it's family. Either way, I already booked my ticket by the end of this month, I should be in NYC living. Funny because I visited 2 years ago and didn't feel the who romanticized energy from movies and tv shows and I was too caught up with my problems thinking if I should move now or not and worrying about money and honestly wish I made myself enjoyed it more. Either way, even without feeling the movie magic, my heart was still set on this city and I cannot wait! I get a bit depressed when applying for jobs and all the other "realistic" part of it 😄but I will keep my delusions and have the best time there. Your video did scare me a little at the begining, but put a smile in my heart and joy in my soul and I believe this is really for me...at least test it out and see. And it is and will be for me with endless possibilities and opportunities and happiness and love and for everyone who has a strong desire for this city just as much as I do.

I've been with Hello for several months now, and the meals are pretty fire tbh. Saves a lot of time, and you get to eat meals you'd probably never think of. The bad side of Hello is their customer service and their auto charges they don't tell you about. It took me over a month to get my sub officially canceled, and I even had to get a charge back from my bank cus it got so bad. I've been getting free boxes for 4 months now, saving me over 1k. That's their own fault. I currently have 26 meals in my fridge, and I'm giving them away every week to neighboors cus I can't fit them all. My advice is to watch your bank account and get the app frequently.

I’m a teen who’s already saving money to start renting my first apartment in Manhattan. My mom is always asking me WHY I wanna live NYC. She says that there are rats everywhere, there will be homeless people EVERYWHERE. And that “it smells” but I have been to Manhattan (specifically only Manhattan, which is why thats where I wanna live) every year since I was 3 and I find the city absolutely Beautiful! I forget about the bad stuff and focus on the AMAZING stuff about the city. I love it sooo much and I cant wait to live there one day no matter the cons. :)
