People have to remember that we are finite beings that are also animals. Fact not assumptions...

It's pwivate pwoperty , one can assault, kill and murder who one likes. Ban hunting altogether or compromise, just go out for a nice ride without guns, whips, and cudgels using chihuahuas instead of foxhounds.

Also what is not widely known is the IOW hunt introduced badgers to the IOW in the 1920s as a mange outbreak had decimated the fox population and affected hunting. The badgers helped enlarge the fox earths and clean them of the mange mite and a healthier fox population resulted: more foxes to hunt!
@Wildshield6 жыл бұрын
I was involved in this and recall telling the producer on the ferry that the hunt will say they are there to control foxes, when the IOW hunt actually introduced foxes to the island. On the back of this he asked the awkward question which caught the hunt out for their dishonesty. At the time the IOW huntsman and terrier man were digging badger setts and only a year or two after were successfully prosecuted.

They're making such a fuss over the digging up of a dead body. Who cares? When I'm dead they can feed me to pigs for all I care. It's the pain and suffering on living beings that matter. Pain and suffering on those poor, gentle guinea pigs.

It has recently come to light that the person responsible for this was Christine Green, an undercover police officer posing as an animal rights activist, and she was given the go ahead to do it by Scotland Yard. You couldn't make it up... disgraceful

Using intelligence as a distinct trait to justify killing animals? Laughable. By that logic we can kill mentally disabled people for medicine too. In fact, studying on humans would even reap better results as human tests are considered far more reliable than those done on animals.

Poor animals have to suffer, so these old bags can look like mutton dressed like lamb, fake fur is as warm and soft why have they got to wear the real thing ? talk about fur coats and no knickers sums this lot up.

Not that it's likely any of these people will have changed their minds today, but it would be interesting to see whether they still endure the pursuit of their aims, I wonder where they are now? The introductory videos from both sides was fair as there was no clear bias by the programming operator, but I don't see this today, not in anything, especially as literally everything is politicised these days. However, the 80s was a time of class barriers being broken down, many in the city could make it without the school tie connection, but it is clear the divide that came about from that period of those who could and those who choose not to, an old divide hidden, but then exposed through indifference to each other: people won't suffer fools in society like they used to. This divide has deepened now, it's not going to heal, I wouldn't call it class warfare, just not fair. But the winners will always end up on top, so it's a losing battle for them: the politics of envy.

I think in today's post-Blair world all of this biased editing would not be lost even on the most ardent of television viewer. Forget not that this was the time before the World Wide Web had taken over from television (in fact I am watching this for the first time on KZbin right this instant) and people's access to understanding of how biased reporting works, as well as healthy discussion, doesn't allow this propaganda to age very well, much like shoulder-pads.

The doctor and professor used intelligence as the trait that makes it justifiable to perform vivisection on animals. If intelligence is the case, then it he should accept the same action done to somebody with severely reduced intelligence. Then he uses an appeal to tradition fallacy....Because we've been using animals throughout history, it is justified.

I well remember watching this show when it was first aired. Hated that idiot Gambon ever since. Incredible that an established personality would have agreed to be involved with such outright propaganda. It's still hard to believe that this bullshit was actually broadcast.
