I can see why some people are dubious or finding his method hard to take, but at the same time, as someone with trauma whose natural tendency is to over think and over intellectualize everything, something like this [which actually is difficult to put into words and a bullet pointed explanation] natually brings up resistance. I felt his statement: trauma fractures you & separates you from your body is SPOT ON. You have to be connected to the suffering in order to to process it, is what he is saying/doing here.

Hey siri, I'm looking for a know-it-all condescending self-aggrandizing therapist who corrects everyone about how to do things. Siri directed me to this video.

@@NesivosSholom Love it! Great point, any more condescending know-it-all comments you would like to share? Notice how quickly you were influenced by this talk that you adopted this style. You definitely didn't read it in Nesivos Sholom. PPL are desperate for healing, and this makes them more vulnerable to anything that feels like real connection, and it makes it harder to see and notice that sometimes it's also quite unhealthy. A person speaking in a condescending pretentious way to hurt people is not healthy. It's hard to hear, but it's ok to acknowledge.

NO WAY! This is the most backward thing ever! Rabbi Greenwald doesn't even have unconditional love for the kids in his own yeshiva. His yeshiva and he personally kick kids out of his yeshiva to make the yeshiva look good. I personally made one mistake over my year and was kicked out after a year of getting close to him and the other tj rabbis to have them throw me to literally sleep on a bench for a few days where they wouldn't even return my calls(not all the rabbis some are great and good people). Actually, he didn't even have the balls to talk to me and made the other rabbis kick me out, I'm still waiting for his call lol. This man doesn't know unconditional love for shit! Idk why god put this in my feed today but now I'm pissed. I think it's crazy and he must be cooked if he's giving chairs about this! Its a sad world we live in where rabbis have more love for themselves than their own bochurim

Tanya Rosen should not speak publicly on nutrition. She positions herself as though she has a masters in nutrition, which she does not. She spreads eating disorder advice through our community and causes a lot of pain. I wish more professionals looked into her background and the controversy surrounding her business before providing her with a platform to cause more issues. Weight and health are complex and each person deserves the right medical professional with the proper credentials.

Hate to say this but I think this doc needs some serious therapy he sounds so confused in life and can't describe anything besides talk in vague poetic terms, he needs to go back to his yoga and shrooms and stop confusing himself and others, he literally just said he enjoys suffering and hearing other people's suffering! He needs serious help!

Definitely. Ppl need healing. I've got no judgement on that. BUT, when we see the hurt leading the hurt to more hurt... it just hurts to watch. Someone has to call it out for the sake of protecting those who don't see. Thank you for posting!

Hey friend. Dr Ham seems to be an expert of heart space. Hashem/ his own life experience led him to have much wisdom in that area. It seems that you find it hard to feel in to that realm, given that you likely are someone with more physical "gifts", making it only natural for you not to be able to grasp what this man is talking about. Dont beat yourself (or him) up about it. If you watched this video because you are seeking healing, it may be beneficial for you to look for a different type of modality that reasonates more with how Hashem created you. Maybe physical therapy? Hatzlacha 🤞

healing comes from being able to reparent ourselves and give ourselves the truth on a subconscious level until we embody it. We don't have to sit in non-true messages and suffer from them. There is work to be done on the subconscious level that frees us from the pain of the inner child. It's wonderful!!!!!!!!!! Healing looks like full alignment with Hashem in peace and harmony, on all levels of our beings. We are meant to fix our Daas. That processes of getting more and more inline with truth brings more and more healing.

Total misrepresentation of the Overeaters Anonymous program!! The whole mindset/psychology they're promoting comes straight from OA... the only difference being - OA is FREE and will never try to sell you a product or service. This is essentially an infomercial.

Forgiveness without the abuser asking for forgiveness is a christian concept which they push on Jews when we do not forget the Inquisitions, pogroms, Shoah etc from the christians. Learning to live my own life free of the daily life triggers of past abuse by my late Dad and his (gentile/christian) family is how I can let go of family pressure to "forgive and forget", when they are in denial of how effected they still are by generational abuse (sexual, physical and emotional childhood abuse). I am learning Judaism after my Mom hid being Jewish to assimilate after society anti semitic abuse in 1930s onward.

This was incredible. Thank you for sharing. I am so fascinated as I have been doing work on self-regulation with Freidy and Roizy Guttmann. They are occupational therapists that specialize in anxiety and processing delays. They have helped me and so many with regulation and they keep sourcing that regulation (yes - for those with ADD and anxiety!) is the key to transcending. Their programs have allowed me to reach this point of attracting success with the focus of presence and as they say, "quieting the noise." (It's actually the name of their podcast. :)) They have shared Torah sources but only generally as they speak of "Source" for the general community. So many of the tools you mentioned, they have shared - from the 5 senses, acceptance, mirroring, 'why' exercise, etc. So fascinating to see this work out in the world at large and not just in our circles being spearheaded by frum facilitators. Looking forward to learning from you as well. Thank you Coach Menachem for sharing!

Koach hamoishech, power of drawing something to you, koach of ratzon, Hashem gives us according to our ratzon. Do not covet (do not desire) is one of the top ten commandments, because you can set your intention and by nurturing that desire you can cause an actual theft. When you desire something you bring it toward you.

The thing is , when a person is so depressed he can’t access these higher level thoughts of faith and meaning. It’s completely elusive. The person is engulfed in his survival animal brain with little access to his higher thinking abilities. We need to help a depressed and anxious person contact the wounded parts and comfort and soothe these parts and after starting to feel better about themselves they will organically start to awaken and reach for meaning and fulfillment.
