Jhon y Cynthia eran felices hasta que Yoko sabiendo que Jhon tenía esposa e hijo no le importó y comenzó a perseguir a Jhon sin tregua, lo esperaba fuera de los estudios de grabación, lugar de ensayos, averiguaba con allegados los lugares que frecuentaba y no descansó nunca en su empeño de abordarlo y hacer que se fuera con ella, lo acosó constantemente, incluso fue tan atrevida de pararse frente a la casa que Jhon compartía con su esposa Cynthia y permanecía por horas entre los autos estacionados, en el frío o lluvia esperando a que Jhon apareciera y lo hizo muchas veces. Cynthia relata en su libro que sentía pena por Yoko al verla ahi parada desde su ventana, incluso una vez la invitó a pasar a su casa sin sospechar de las malas intenciones de la mujer. Yoko se entrometió en su matrimonio y consiguió alejarlo de Cynthia y de Julian, Yoko era una desconocida en ese entonces y ante tantas dificultades para ser reconocida por su trabajo, acercándose a Jhon que era tan famoso logró ser conocida y cumplió su propósito porque con sus trabajos artísticos nunca hubiera logrado ser famosa ni rica.
