Through Daniel's own skate event, the "SkaMiDan Skate Together," I was drawn back into the world of skating, and it reignited my passion for the sport. I dusted off my inline skates and got back on wheels. Daniel’s crew and contagious joy immediately inspired me, and today, I proudly stand as a member of my own skating crew-the SkaMiDan Skating Team. Since then, I’ve been thrilled to join SkaMiDan in spreading this message: **"YOU NEVER RIDE ALONE!"** Learn more about Wladislaw Felde: ► www.skamidan.com/blogs/skamidan-shop-team/wladislaw-felde-skamidan-shop-team Website, Shop, Skate School, Social Media and more: ► www.skamidan.com/ ► linktr.ee/skamidan Skater: ► Wladislaw Felde Filmed by: ► Wladislaw Felde Music: ► Background Song: Jutro - Travva (feat. In 2010, I finally visited a skatepark for the first time with a few friends. There, I found a second family and discovered my passion for aggressive inline skating. Back then, however, I quickly felt the same as many others did with this hobby-I felt like a unicorn. Why a unicorn? Well, because I felt like the last of my kind, the last one still pursuing the beautiful hobby of aggressive inline skating. The time when I really started skating was, unfortunately, exactly when most people were giving it up. When bouldering and sport climbing, it's crucial to be highly concentrated. Here, I feel and pay attention to my entire body, find my inner and physical balance, and am completely in the moment. In climbing, there is absolute trust-in the people and loved ones around you, but above all in yourself. Nowhere else are death and complete freedom so close together. A small moment of carelessness can have fatal consequences. The confrontation with oneself, with nature, with one's physical abilities and own mind; peace. Fitness & Urban Inline Skating Learn more about me: www.skamidan.com/blogs/skamidan-shop-team/daniel-lott-skamidan-shop-team With fitness and urban inline skating, I can completely unwind while pushing myself to the limit. Whether on streets, bike paths, or through cities - I enjoy the feeling of freedom with every meter. Fitness skating is low-risk, easy on the joints, keeps you fit, and is especially fun with friends and other skaters. It combines movement, relaxation, and community in the best possible way. In contrast, urban inline skating also demands confidence and the courage to overcome challenges -depending on the tricks, obstacles, or gaps you want to conquer.

Inline freestyle slalom skating demands intense focus, discipline, and excellent balance. One of the most motivating aspects is training with friends, where you encourage and support each other to push your limits. Learn more about me: www.skamidan.com/blogs/skamidan-shop-team/daniel-lott-skamidan-shop-team However, inline slalom skating also offers a unique opportunity to immerse yourself in your own world. How? Headphones on, music playing-and then dance through the cones. It’s a feeling of freedom and rhythm that’s simply unparalleled, allowing you to forget everything else around you. I love freestyle slalom skating, even when I’m just rolling through the cones for half an hour practicing basic tricks.

Today I've been trying Mabrouk slalom. I am doing a forward criss-cross, turning on the left side 180 , backward criss-cross , turning again on the leftside 180 (instead of turning on the rightside 180) . Is this the same or has a different name ? Or a variation ? I can't find anything about this

@skamidanen

It's not strange to be able doing an air with an 180°, but not when going straight. Especiall when you want to land backwards/fakie it's scarier. Just keep practicing and you'll see you'll master ist (with and without doing a 180°). 😃✌

i found this video 5 years late! i bought a MF500 off Decathlon and watched this and Ricardo's video. initially, i was worried about transitioning from the walk to skating, but i realised that the walk transitions itself into skating very naturally. really a very good drill to do.

@skamidanen oops.. i'm so sorry i didnt draft my comment well. i meant that i found this video 5 years late; i would have started skating 5 years earlier had i seen this then. after chancing upon this video, i headed down to my local Decathlon store to buy a pair of skates yesterday. 😅 i have a question though. do we always keep our knees bent while on skates? i was just wondering what might be the difference if we stood with our legs straight when we're not moving.
@skamidanen
@skamidanen 4 ай бұрын
Ahh, okay. :-) So it's nice to hear that you're now into it. ;-) It's not necessary keeping your knees bent when standing. However it's always best to keep your knees bent, so you stand safer and skate safer.

How could a t-stop damage your spine?
@skamidanen
@skamidanen 5 ай бұрын
If the T-stop is performed incorrectly, the body turns in the direction of braking, which can pinch nerves. On the other hand, the muscles can develop too much on one side, which can end to poor posture when sitting.

Good morning, I'm 52 and with a hip replacement so I have to be very careful. I purchased 2024 Rollerblade Lightning 80, but these wheels are far too large for me. I'm just too unstable at six feet tall. And falling is a very bad idea for me with a joint replacement. So the question I can't seem to get a good answer to is this: Can I take a pair of 68mm wheels and put them on my Rollerblade Lightnings? All I'm doing is fitness skating. Rollerblade said I could get away with 72mm, but would 68mm fit that frame. Please help and thanks in advance. Mark
@skamidanen
@skamidanen 5 ай бұрын
You can mount 68mm wheels for sure. 68mm wheels are 12mm smaller than your 80mm wheels, so you will stay 6mm lower. The other 6mm will be a free space between your wheels and your boots. If you have problems with staying stable, I recommend the USD Aeon 72 skates. With these skates you will stay much lower, will have an excelent controll and a very good power transfer: www.skamidan.com/?s=aeon+72&post_type=product With these you will stay lower as with any other skate with the same wheel size.
