In my mind ( not being biased .... much ) it's a good end to a long hard slog which was exciting and well worth the effort on the part of everybody involved. Keep watching for next years videos .

I do so much, after witnessing all the hard work involved by so many people to achieve this restoration 90years since ERA R1A was first shown to the public / press in 1934 after the company was formed in 1933 ........ thanks JC

Hi Tony, yes the weather ruined a lot of it and restricted my filming and photos a lot but managed to get some. The sound on open pipes is amazing. Unfortunately after 8th in qualifying the supercharger chain broke ☹ however it will be sorted as soon as we can get parts and address the cause !

hi Tony , yes it's awesome and sounded well in the paddock at Goodwood until the start of the race and the car was pushed away due to the supercharger chain broke .Still bits to tweak !

These cars didn’t have a neutral I believe and had to have their back wheels jacked up to heat the transmission. Saw them in a line at goodwood

I have only just found out that my Vincent Comet was supplied new by Mays of Bourne in early 1950. So there is a history of a Motor Factors as Mays family business.

@@leodis55 The VOC Registrar also owns a Vincent supplied by Mays of Bourne. He supplied me a link which has a swish photo of the building and petrol pumps as part of the business. I'll post it here later.

Those old Curtis OX5 V-8 aero-engines from WW1 make great powerplants for vintage racing 'specials'. There are several such beasts here in the UK. James Baxter's TipTree Engineering is a brilliant company.
