Yo, we were just at Lighthouse Point nights of February 15 16 17. We've been doing Winter Trips for about 15 years. Actually we've been to a lot of the same cabins as you guys.

Rifle River Recreation Area near Rose City is like our home base. That's where we started. Not as remote as some of the other ones and propane heat instead of wood stove, but a gorgeous state park. Lots of small inland lakes and good trails. The Lost lake hike is a must. We've done Wilderness a few times, Little Presque Isle near Marquette is awesome, Craig Lake in the fall. Lighthouse Point is probably the biggest and nicest cabin we've been to.

Alot of the river is very wadeable. The rocks make for very rough walking so bring a walking stick. Use it to stabilize yourself and feel ahead for rubberbacks and snappers. Both have a highly infectious bite that you want to avoid.

@Michigan Wanderers I was hoping to see how well the finder worked out with your fixture that you made. Like if it was hard to level it out. Or if it was better to drill a 2nd hole in the ice for the transducer or maybe that locates it too far away from the jig. Maybe even see some fish or structure on the finder so I know what that looked like. Very interested in the finder but don't see much info on the cv version being used on the ice

Hello looks like a nice bag. One question with these style bags ( i have a cabelas and a shimano) one they both collapse on themselves if you dont have them loaded with trays. I hate that does this one stand on its own when its not packed.

Our Boy Scout troop camped there in the late 60's . We cut and stacked several cords of fire wood . The cabins at Wilderness State park are well taken care of . I am looking to get something similar to this is is a Okeechobee fats tackle bag and it has everything this has including 2 free 3600 tackle box containers. But I have a question... What tackle box container size is good for a crappie/panfish tackle box. Is 3600 size too big or just right. I'll be putting in things like bobby garland's, jigs, hair jigs etc. I know that the 3600 size is great for terminal tackle but I am just asking about the size for the panfish/crappie box.. anyway thanks and enjoyed the video!
@michiganwanderers
@michiganwanderers 3 жыл бұрын
3600 size will hold a lot especially if it comes with a good amount of dividers. You could get away with two boxes for most of your stuff. I have a terminal tackle box, a crank and jerk bait box and then a jig box. Three covers me, so 2 would be good if you are only doing panfish.
