I was with etsy from the second year. 7 months ago I had a busy shop and was clearing at least 2k a week. It was like an abusive relationship the last few years. The reason I left was bc I had a customer lie and change stories harass me and tell me thry know no matter what the truth is etsy will refund them. I showed etsy all of it and they still refunded it from my bank account without my approval AND THEN the customer wrote a review making fun of my disability and etsy refused to remove it. I walked away from 54 orders and never went back. I love goimagine bc its like etsy was back in the old days before they stopped caring about people and only caring about money. My traffic was only from etsy so Im still not straight financially but I dont care bc the support Ive recieved from goimagine is more support than Ive recieved from etsy in the last 10 yrs. I truly hate etsy. Evil entity as far as Im concerned.

I like your idea about adding a listing or redoing an old listing that isn’t selling. A new listing may just mean starting a new painting, which, when finished I can make as prints. Definitely not a one day project, but I can do some work on that new listing or maybe create a new listing by cropping in on a popular subject to focus just on the head of the dog for example. Then, I can move on to a social media post ( my worst area for getting something done).

Yep, it took me a week with POD to figure I wasn't going to make a killing! I think that POD could be a good side business as it is pretty low involvement as far as time if you are a designer. Hi there, Your videos are excellent! I've had my shop on Etsy since 2012, and I must say that before they went public, they NEVER made constant changes so often as they do now. Things were pretty consistent, and there was always a customer service representative who you could speak with over the phone. It's changed so much, and the secure feeling that I used to have selling on Etsy is guite sadly, gone. But for now, I will remain, as it it is my main source of income. I may try opening a shop on goimagine. Hmmmm

Their big problem are drop shippers marking up AliTemuSheinWish tat as if artisan handmade items.

I personally think Etsy shipping is the most complicated part of having an Etsy shop. Etsy seems to love adding harebrained schemes that aren’t thought out well to benefit them but complicate it for sellers.

This is really frustrating because I’m a new seller on Etsy and I watch a lot of KZbinrs that talk about putting a bunch of different stuff on there to see what works and so I keep hearing different things

I don't see this as a benefit to me at all as a seller. I build the shipping into the cost of the product to keep it simple. If I charge for shipping, the customer pays for shipping. Either way, I don't pay for shipping. What would Etsy reimburse the seller for? I'm not paying for shipping, the customer is. This video isn't making sense to me. Am I missing something?

Just a reminder, all the fees you pay are tax deductions in the USA. Keep track, keep your receipts and make sure you tell your tax professional about them. (I am bookkeeper so I had to remind you all of this.)

Not sure I follow the seller benefit to Insider free shipping. Yes you get it reimbursed, but you don't collect it from the "Insider" buyer in the first place (since it's free), therefore isn't it just a wash? I actually see it as a loss.... my shipping prices include packaging costs, which Etsy won't be reimbursing. I would have to increase product prices to cover that if I anticipate a lot of "Insider" sales.
