There is a Slovak guy who did 410 kms on one charge. Have you seen that video as well? I guess that might be an unofficial world record. Nice job anyway!!
@VasylPrazhskiy Жыл бұрын
Hi! Please, give me that video. Thank you very mach!
is a typical clickbyte!!! , you can travel more than 200 km on the ioniq 28 and a lot of it, but on the scales, ioniq will never show you the distance of 295 km. this is definitely a former 38 kwh version

Thanks for your test. I have already ioniq 2017 and I really curious that how can I see more than 200 KM, I didn't saw ever this range, can u help me?
@Hans-gb4mv4 жыл бұрын
Range depends on many factors. Turning on the A/C for example will take away some kilometers already (if yours is displaying miles, you'll never get it above 200). In order to get over 200, your consumption needs to come down. The biggest contributors to high consumption are hard acceleration and having a lot of load with you, be it passengers or cargo. Hitting the brakes hard is also not good for consumption even though it can recover some energy. But always a lot less than what you had to put in to accelerate. The best way I've found to increase range is to make use of the speed limiter of the car. A constant speed is an economical speed as it takes out acceleration and deceleration. Even with portions on the highway doing 120, I still get about 230km of range on the GOM at 100% charge. Highest I've seen it was 282.
@TassieEV5 жыл бұрын
Highest speed I saw was 76 kmh. But flat geography dry roads no motorway from what I saw or missed it, I'd say almost too hot though at 30C just running fan may not be enough. Well done not that I'd ever risk it to basically that low into turtle mode. Guessing lots of coasting. I'd never get that where I live, far too hilly.
@alegric.5 жыл бұрын
Impressive, but 365 km in a 10 hour drive. I'll rather drive a bit faster and stop and charge on the way 1 time :) Seems to me that would be more efficient

I do have same car. My max was 235 last summer. Car was just new, and I did not push it up to the max range. Now I do drive from my hometown to Brussels visa versa. I will try to get the range up to 300km. I think it must be possible with 'paragliding' behind a bus / van. But ok... the average speed does influence the range a lot. On my trip to Brussels I do have flat highway, with 'a lot' of air resistance. That's the biggest issue on the range. If you stay in the range of something like 50-80km/h the Ioniq will be very good in energy efficiency.
@richheart18375 жыл бұрын
And.. temperature does influence the capacity of the battery a lot! 26 degree Celsius is very nice for the range... during daytime also. :-). Well... I get my trust back in the Ioniq after I've been in a Tesla Model 3 ;-).

The Ioniq is the best engineered EV available today, hands down. 72Wh/kM this is simply amazing. I owned a City-EL in the early 90' and it got 45Wh/km, but that was at 50kMh average and it was a two seater!!! Tesla to the scrap yard. The new Kona apparently has less range?
@21szazalek6 жыл бұрын

Awesome effort. I want to do a hypermile range test on My Kona which I get in a few weeks. What techniques are best for range? (what tyre pressures? External temperature etc) would be optimal? Would you have gone further with a slightly higher average speed?
@CarsColmar6 жыл бұрын
Hi Mark, great news for your delivery in a few weeks, in this case you’re probably living in Norway? I have to be more patient for our ordered Sangl KONA EV from Germany - For the hypermiling, the first parameter should be a warm and sunny day over 28°C until 33°C, without climate cont. Just opened windows, cruise control by 44km/h, regenerating level0, Tires pressures by 3.4bar and a lot of patient over the two days for an expected distance between 700 and 820 kms …. Wish you a lot of fun and success as well ;-) - Kind regards - Hubi

Hallo, Super Test. :-)

How is that possible? I test drive An Ioniq car today and I'm impress by the tec.spec. and the range of this car is 280 km full charged but mostly of the test says less range than the official 280 km, in fact most of the test shows a range between 210 and 260 km. So we har talking about over 100 km ekstra range witch will be a topp winner car in this section and if this is the real effective range or even just 300 km it will be the best choice with no competition on range/economy/performance...and so on!
