Hi Tom. Unfortunately age caught up with me a bit, so I gave it away to a younger guy who could make better use of it than me.

Hi again Den (and all hand arthritis sufferers), I had chronic arthritis in my left thumb and had a trapeziectomy operation where the triangular trapezium bone is removed. Never looked back. Totally pain free and full movement restored. Barry

Nice to see you back and good to know you are o.k. I went fishing yesterday and landed 5 nice double figure carp, 2 broke me on snags and 2 got off. I was using my own blend of bread crumb and carp pellets laced with turmeric, which I learnt from you. Another angler turned up and he had forgot his bait, so I gave him some of my mix. When I explained what it was made up of he was surprised, smelled it and said he could eat that himself. I told him about you and that is where I got the tip to use turmeric from. I was about to go home so don't know if he had the same success as me. Thanks for your tips and look forward to more videos to come. Barry from Essex

Great video Den, thanks. Is there an alternative wood to the balsa? It`s difficult to get near me and quite expensive on line. Any help will be much appreciated. Regards, Stuart.
@FishingwithDen3 күн бұрын
Thanks Stuart. I have seen people using wine bottle corks, but this would take a lot of work in sanding. Another alternative might be to use local reeds which you can find along the riverbank. Here's a video showing how to make those floats: kzbin.info/www/bejne/naSvd4uneMlrrKs You could add the thin tip to these bodies.

Hello Den, nice to see you back. I'm left handed but hold fishing rod in my right hand and reel in with left hand and also hold landing net in left hand which feels natural to me that way. Basically I fish like right handed fisherman. Noticed you do the opposite and wondered if you were left handed. Now i know

Hey Den, got the new underwater camera? A new Waterwolf is about to get on the market (or already is on the market). WaterWolf 2K WiFi. Seems better than the previous two versions.
@FishingwithDen4 күн бұрын
Hi Ovidiu. I got the replacement Waterwolf camera about 2 months ago unfortunately. So we will just have to wait and see how long it takes me to lose the new one before I get the next version.🤣🤣 I also haven't been out fishing for the past two months because I damaged the index finger on my left hand. (I'm left handed). I'm hoping to go out fishing later this week to see if I can use it now, so I will start to produce some more videos soon.

Hi Bruno. Thanks for asking mate. I haven't been out fishing for the last two months because I injured the index finger on my left hand while I was making a new platform. Unfortunately, my left hand is the one I hold a rod with. I'm hoping to get out again in the next week or so.

I used to use supermarket own brand ovaltine for sticky mag and sticky pellet and then the bait manufacturers started to sell one for more money, I never bought it though. I bought some of the Goo when it first came out but I cant say it got me more bites, I think it catches more anglers than fish to be honest.

That seems to be the general consensus Andrew.

Thanks for sharing this fun project, Den. I also am building a take-apart to fit in the SUV, but I like your design much better! I way over-engineered mine (as usual), and had mine with the tub being a short one-piece, as were the pontoons going to be. That has changed! Fortunately, I am still in the drawing stages, and the ideas you have provided have not only simplified everything, but your quick construction demonstration has cut my build time to probably 1/3 to 1/2 of what it would have been, And, being 8 feet long instead of 4-1/2 is REALLY the cat's meow! I will make the front piece longer than yours, and a bit narrower than the main tub so they nest together, because the inside of my SUV is shorter than yours. I will make the bulkheads where they connect shorter as well , to allow moving from the front to the back easier. This old man isn't so limber anymore, and the front section will be long enough to make it worth it, especially when my wife is onboard. I think I may use 4 pontoons instead of 2. Your videos came just at the right time: God has a way of doing that! Now I'm thinking to make the pontoons collapsible...
