those front buckets you have are out of a 68 GTO, i have the exact same set for my 68 Cutlass. what makes them interesting is they are 68s with head rests. very rare option that year, option code 571 at an additional cost of $52 when new, adjusted to todays money would be around $400, its quite obvious why almost nobody ordered them back in 68, seeing how almost no cars at the time even had head rests. Cool project man.

Be cognizant of winter road salt kicking up onto the undercarriage and accelerating rusting. I know a couple of guys whose prized cars remain garaged until all the salt has washed off the roads.

nice to see someone work with what they had and not Ls the car. I picked up my 243,00 mile 68 4-4-2 a few years ago, $4500 turnkey. Wasn't even looking for it, but two prior interested buyers screwed up and now I have it.

@@Ericuribe09 .....as a woman, I wouldn't mind at all a hubby with this hobby to focus on--assuming money allotted for household expenses wouldn't instead be getting plowed into a muscle car and then there's an empty fridge. Gorgeous vehicle--I did in fact see the potential and definitely appreciate a fine looking muscle car. Yes, one of the rare women who do--thanks to having grown up all around Boomers who loved these tricked up cars.
