Y'all are listening to the press office of Opus Dei. These people are deceptive and dangerous. They are facing civil suits when they really should be criminally prosecuted through the Hague. These guys infiltrated Democracies through theolir politics and courts. They will Herold in the New Dark Ages. They have infiltrated the US Court system and are reversing our freedoms and hard earned rights, as well as our environmental and worker protections. They don't care about the masses. They just want to rule us. Listen to ex Opus Dei member, Jack Schaeffer. There are more people speaking out. This is a very abusive and extreme organization.

Your sources concerning the book are all Opus Dei. You are a director in Opus Dei. You are in a cult and ask us to believe in the cult. We are catholic we do not Impose our faith. You are in a cult and like some conservative fundamentalist catholics will love to impose “their” truth to the world. I have read the book I find it credible and I highly recommend
@mlourdesdelgadoluque272612 күн бұрын
I also have read the book. And, I can say that the part corresponding Opus Dei life stile is not true.
@luchogatica386812 күн бұрын
@@mlourdesdelgadoluque2726 just open KZbin and see the opinions of ex Opus Dei members , many Opus Dei members maybe good I am sure but the problem of a cult is the manipulation from Opus Dei priests and directors , members of a cult don’t think they are in a cult
@michaelfielding579011 күн бұрын
wake up from your fantasy world, I have been a member of Opus Dei for many years and the book is totally false but cannot expect much else from one such as yourself with a limited knowledge I urge members to ignore this book, we know the truth and I am no slave

Let's me guess Jack you must be a Catholic or director of Opus Dei, of course. Well, Ive read the book and found it to be highly highly credible and corroborates with many other truthful cases against the organization Opus Dei. Financial corruption abound. Also, there are dozens of human trafficking cases that are in the news right now. Gareth Gore is an absolute pristine financial journalist that uncovered so much corruption. What does this organization do with all this money? They get away with not paying women for domestic work for decades then throw them away with nothing to fall back on, no money no way to make a living. It's dispicable.

No news yet. The matter is being discussed in the Holy See with the participation of Opus Dei representatives and there have been several meetings this year, but no decision has been reached yet.

Jack, I have neither FB nor twitter. But I am interested to hear your response.
Jack, care to comment about the abuse suffered by the female assistant numeraries (numerarias auxiliares) that were recruited being minors (14 year of age) all over the world, worked without receiving salary nor pension, social insurance, etc, and when they left opus dei were not given anything? I personally know many of them. One of those ladies, who is Irish, did wash your own underwear. You can continue to fill with empty euphemisms all the channels as much as you want. The stark reality that remains is that the persistence in denying justice to those most vulnerable affected by you, removes any credibility from opus dei. And that inability to accept and recognize those abuses ( as any Christian should) is mostly hampered by the economic burden that you would have to shoulder. Now, who knows what the real finances of Torreciudad are, when in my own experience opus dei's affiliated organizations, foundations, etc. are layers of stealth built to remove opus dei from legal responsibility. Not surprisingly it may be scary for you that the Bishop will be getting hold of the real numbers, and the manouvres done to manufacture that "deficit". Plenty of information can be found in OpusLibros, if anyone cares to read.

Dear Jack Righteous indignation noted. 😐 So I know this has nothing to do with your post but.... I wonder, when you became aware of the violation of labour laws by Opus Dei in many countries(including your own) did you experience the same righteous indignation? Did you feel compelled to come out in defence of the many ex nax, particularly the Argentinian 43, who are seeking justice and compensation for the many years of labour with no payment? For work they carried out in OD centres day after day with no proper breaks or actual holidays. Not just across Argentina, but also in the UK, Ireland, Spain, USA, Australia, the Philippians, Nigeria and every country where assistant numaries 'serve' OD. I wonder if you gave a second thought for the domestic staff of the centre where you live, staff that were recruited, mostly as minors to carry out the jobs that you as a numerary man, felt were beneath you, but perfectly acceptable for us to do? Nothing wrong with properly renumerated domestic work, I have no argument with that. However Jack, I am sorry to say but I do have indignation. After spending years washing/ironing/folding your clothing, cooking your meals, serving you these meals and cleaning your house...for nothing! Yes, I have indignation. How does this sit with you? 🤔

The congregation missed a golden opportunity to hound those morons out of there, and see them go with their tails between their legs, just like that pastor in the US recently did. One man sent a group of cops scurrying from his church when they tried to pull the exact same shit. When you stand up to fascists, they back down. As all bullies do.

The police have abused their power going into a church and threatening the congregation with fines or arrest. What is going on with the British police they are acting like Nazis. Good Friday is one of the most important days in the christian faith. This must stop . But l think it's going to get worse if the police bill goes through , God help the British people against the police brutality.

The police were "overstepping the mark?" Umm...literally! There are spots in the Church where laity do not go out of reverence- right around the altar- behind the Communion rail. They basically trampled in Sacred areas and even went to the pulpit where the Gospel is read and the Word of God proclaimed to announce that people were to leave. They showed immense insensitivity not only to the day, Good Friday, but also to God's House. This is getting to the level of Soviet persecution, folks, the desecration of Churches and the Poles WILL be remembering this from their not so recent past. And in Calgary, Canada, a Polish pastor also kicked out police, rather vehemently. I strongly suspect he was aware of what happened in England. How could he not?
