IS this the stock shock? Are you happy with the performance of the suspension?

Yeah, stock shock. The suspension works great on smooth surfaces but not so much on rough roads. The GT is no GS.. The rebound on the rear shock is quite abrupt (folks blame it on the spring being too soft), and you gotta take that into consideration when riding more aggressively or taking a passenger.

@@brazilianrider8882 Did you updated the software of it to the v2 software? People say that it improves it drastically. I would love to own one but the suspension complains that I hear from some makes me to not be 100% sure of my decision.. Besided that is seems an incredible bike..

Yes, I did the update even before having my first ride on the bike, so I can't say how it behaves on the old software. If you have mostly good roads, go for it. It's a great bike, lots of power, torque, and character. Dig into the forums/fb groups, and you'll get a lot of good info!

I love the anytime torque, riding position and smooth power the most. The quick shifter is fun, it has good brakes, mirriors, and shocks also. The bike looks good. The tires are good. It is a pleasure and joy to ride.

I had type "E" on the bike. You'll need an extra gasket to get a proper seal of the connection between link pipe+Muffler.

No engine flash/tuning. It has an air intake mod (k&n +airbox delete) and a ton of cosmetic mods; fairing, tyres, seat, footpegs.. It belongs to a friend of mine.

that is the best video of a ninja 1000sx I've seen so far... I didn't even know you can lean that much with this fat bike 0:50 . What tyre and pressure do you use to ride that fast with so much confidence?

I was running the Michelin Power 6 @ 36F/40R psi. 49° was the max lean I had on that day, but did 52° on the stock tyres before (Bridgestone S22) and wasn't even dragging knee or scrapping anything.. the SX is a very capable bike!

It's a great bike overall bud, very reliable and stable, weaknesses are the suspension and brakes. Different brake pads help, and the suspension, well, I was at a point where a fully adjustable rear shock was needed, so I traded it for a Superduke GT.

Windshield is from Puig. The phone holder bracket you can find on Aliexpress, I adapted a quadlock anti vibration module and it worked great. Just found this amazing item on AliExpress. Eu estou em dúvida justamente entre uma 1000SX e uma Tuono V4, embora sejam de estilos diferentes, acho que seriam boas motos para umas viagens bate e volta nos fins de semana com boas curvas. Obrigado Alvaro. A 1000sx é mais confortável para viajar e o motor é mais dócil/suave em baixas RPM, é muito mais fácil de dosar o acelerador, além de ter um consumo melhor também. A Tuono é muito mais "track oriented" e a trilha sonora do V4 é simplesmente maravilhosa, mas realmente pra rua, creio que a Kawasaki é a escolha mais sensata.. com um ECU flash +escapamento ela se transforma também..

Sim, moto muito divertida. Os unicos pontos fracos dela são a suspensão e o mapeamento q é um pouco brusco, mas isso você pode melhorar c aftermarket shock e Tuneecu. Vendi somente porque peguei a Tuono V4 1100 factory que era meu sonho hehehe.

@@katisuhara faz tempo q tive a moto.. consumo não é horrivel mas depende muito de onde/como vc anda. Checa se foram realizadas as inspeções normais dela de acordo com os km, e tb se as válvulas e cam chain estão ok. Tive 2 Aprilias e nunca me deram problemas.
