As a kid, and even now at 61, I was fascinated by the mysterious catacomb quality of track level at Central Station. This was from my first glimpse in 1967 when my family arrived on the Ocean Limited. Expo year and what a busy station it was.

C’était une évacuation d’urgence,une personne venait de tomber sur la voie et ils l’ont retrouvé sous le train,toujours en vie et il s’est même relevé de lui même quand ils l’ont sorti de là. Il avait refusé d’aller à l’hôpital

The old Lima pancake motor is one of the most reliable and easily repaired model train power units ever. This is why there are still so many old Lima trains out there and running. Was never given the credit it deserved back in the day. But now it has become kind of legendary and for good reason. Also Mazok Rot and Zinc Pest will never be a problem for Lima locos.

As mechanician , in the 80 s , I repaired Alcos , RS18 , RSD15 , C630 , C636 and M636 . I loved them so much ! Engines overhaul , preventive maintenance and minor repairs . What I like te most ? Engines load test . The sound of the engine at full throttle and full load will stay in my memories !
