Been there myself. My rifle was .243 and Dad's 7mm Mag - identical in every other way. Last day of hunt, driving out, had both rifles on the seat between us. A little buck steps out and Dad tells me to go ahead and get it. Picked up rifle, racked bolt and used truck hood as a bench to shoot. Wouldn't you know I had picked up Dad's. The scope knocked the lens out of my glasses and gave me a pretty good nip in the eyebrow. Unfortunately, my shot had hit him squarely in the shoulder quartering away and he was trying to get up. "You better tap him again," Dad told me. With no glasses I couldn't see anything so I leaned across the stock and used my left eye. Yep, another more significant bite on the temple. Both eyes went black. I was quite the sight for a few weeks after that.

While hunting with a buddy, -5 deg 10 inches fresh snow. I hear a shot and few minutes later I see my bud sneaking through the trees. I move to intercept him. I say was that you? Yep im tracking a blood trail. 😂😂 im laughing because the blood is running from his forehead dripping off his frozen nose creating a blood trail. 😮

LOL Had a .270WSM in Browning X-Bolt do that to me once!!!! In my defense, I took the shot Left-Handed! Seems something was off as far as mechanics. If thats the term? Maybe cheek weld off. Wasn't shouldered correctly? 9 STITCHES Almost 1 per antler...I got that 10 pnt That WSM round all but threw that buck in the direction of my truck. Almost field dressed him too lol Seemed to be a short Gut and Drag? I can't remember. Might have been concussed? Truley a "Whack-F*&K" incident 🤣🤣 You go girl!!! Guys dig chicks with "Scoped Scars"! Oh the stories I could tell about women hunters in my family. 🤣🤣 Loved this video. Brought back some awesome memories for sure! SUBBED

I saw that one coming. Happened to me once with the 300 WinMag. we had taken a break from the cold and warming up in the camper with some coffee when my brother said "there is a herd outside the camper" I looked out and saw 10 deer standing there. I had left my rifle outside the camper so the scope wouldn't fog over. I was able to crack the door and reach out and grab the gun.. but when I tried to open the door enough to get a shot the deer got fidgety.. so I ended up laying on the floor on my back and hanging upside down out the door to get my shot. I was in a very uncomfortable position and perfect to get a scope bite. I pulled the trigger and did get the deer but while walking out to get the deer I noticed my arms felt wet. I looked down and saw blood all over my arms that had dripped from my head, bit me right between my eyes lol. After retrieving the deer...I was standing outside the camper reliving the shot when someone noticed blood splatter on a picnic table 4 feet away from where I took the shot. Funny, how ya don't notice the pain when you have the adrenaline of taking that shot on a buck. There was a lot of blood ..lucky for me it bit me right where I have a crease between my eyes so the scar isn't really noticeable.

It looks like that rifle is too big for her she looked like she was having trouble getting the gun on her shoulder right it was under her arm that's a bad day every time but she will have a scar and some horns to remember it I would get her a 350 legend and they make them in a youth model so people with short arms can shoot them my brother has the same problem

As soon as I saw the way she was holding her rifle I knew she was going to scope herself. I actually knew she scoped herself at the beginning of the video. It happens to the best of us. Good shot!
@perrys595411 күн бұрын
Good shot regardless of what happened on the other side of the scope. Meat in the freezer is all that really matters at the end of the day :) Thanks for sharing your hunting adventures (and mishaps in this situation). Takes character to be willing to show the.. less than glamorous moments :)
@davidcross568811 күн бұрын
Congrats, next time rest LEFT elbow on bar for support and wont get scope bitten again....OR bring a shooting stick up with you, can even zip tie it to rail....stick other end of shooting stick threw a hole in bottom/base / foot of the stand....just the angle you were at is the only reason it happened....just giving some ideas....AND she is Right handed, so next time camera guy needs to sit on your side...so switch seats/positions........

That little fork horn looked to be about the size of last years fawn. If this is big joe, or whatever, she has never seen big. Sorry, this is clikbait. Inches from disaster? She got too close to the scope and it bit her. 5 thumbs down.
@timarndt634212 күн бұрын
Ya know, it's not about the score of the rack sometimes, it has a lot to do with the quality of the hunt. Any deer can be a trophy for whatever reason. The fact she got bit by the scope makes it a more memorable hunt! So if you can't handle someone having fun on a hunt, I suggest you go back in your memory bank and re-live some of your outdoor activities. I'm 64, I still enjoy the excitement of the hunt. Anything I harvest is a trophy to me.
@DeepFriedChumChum11 күн бұрын
How is this clickbait? She was inches from the scope, and there was blood involved. The Big *Louie thing wasn’t in the title, and that’s just fun talking between hunters not supposed to be taken literally.
