Hieno kone.🤩 On tullut ajettua fordson ja ford traktoreilla jo yli 40 vuotta. Onko koneessa 6.2 litraiset Cargon moottorit. Näyttää samalta kuin minun Countyssä on?

This is simply incredible engineering. How did they get 2 tractors to work together? Is there one drive shaft and one differential ?
@oledagsleth121 Жыл бұрын
You can see it as 2 separate tractors without front axle's and the front one is towing the rear one. The front one is remotely controlled from the rear one via control cables and hydraulic slave and master cylinders

Front tractor wheel seem to b turning faster
@oledagsleth121 Жыл бұрын
The rear wheel on the other side was spinning alot, it was very bad conditions that day with alot of rain the days before. The front engine only runs 50-100rpm faster than the rear one. 😉

Loved the Fordson super Major tractors, they were the ultimate king of tractors during the 70’s in New Zealand. This double tractor set up is awesome.

how many kw to the tires do you get? The barras are awesome and capable of huge power levels. From the factory, the FG-x xr-6 turbo run 9psi of boost.

Hi I always have wondered how you match rpm;s and speed on 2 engine tractors, since it seems they don't have a dual tach on the rear unit
@oledagsleth121 Жыл бұрын
The throttles are linked together with a linkage system under the batterytray, the front engine is running 50rpm higher. Have a tachometer on each tractor and I can where the needle on the front unit is compared to the rear one

Thanks for sharing, Thats a great looking tractor. I know how hard it is to build a standard tractor to a 6 conversion and get it right. Now to build a Doe replica 6 in the same conversion and it works, is a lot of skill, time, money and thinking/drawing on bits of paper late at night. Take care.
@oledagsleth1212 жыл бұрын
Thanks mate, the 6 cylinder conversion is actually easier on this one since you dont have a frontaxle to worry about

Hey mate, you contactable? Just doing this conversion myself and would like to know of any pitfalls you may have encountered.
Hi mate, just doing this conversion for my daughters Mk3....any tips or traps I need to be aware of? Did you use the FG Barra with the rear sump?
@oledagsleth1212 жыл бұрын
Hi I'm actually not sure what sump I have, got recommended one with rear sump from Atomic back in the day. Had to modify alot around the engine because its huge in the Capri engine bay. The firewall and geartunell needs modification to get the engine as far back as possible, the gearbox is an T5 manual from an AU falcon with rear housing from an Foxbody Mustang to relocate the gearlever. Also had to modify the sump to get the engine as low as possible, biggest issue is the hight of the front of engine towards the low building bonnet of a MK3 Capri

Correct, Ford badged and Ford engined 😉 that is mostly what it's the difference between them since Richier used Deutz engines

@@oledagsleth121 sorry yes Richier. Autocorrect again. There originally french made richier. But we're sold under a few name such as ford, oleomat, demag. Handful of the Richier ones had rolls royce engines. Some had perkins. But mainly deutz. We had a H43 track machine for a while
