Very entertaining and informative video. My only concern would be a product for both dogs and cats. I would not use any product for both. Cats have a much higher requirement for protein, which is too high for dogs. Cats need taurine from their food. Hunde does not even meet AAFCO labelling requirements, which are about as minimum as there are. Know Better and TC Feline are two of the better premixes for cats. I am considering switching my cats to a whole prey diet. Happy Feline Friday!

I absolutely love the Dr. Harvey’s base mixes, or, shall I say, my dogs absolutely love them. I DO buy supermarket meat because it has more strict regulations, not less, and, markdown meat is much more affordable than mail order raw diet companies charge. I also got a ton of free venison and trout from a freezer dump. I merely posted on a local community Facebook group, and found this, along with some duck meat, and fresh quail and chicken eggs. Freezer dumps is an awesome way to score free and cheap meat.

Hi! I’m not sure if you covered this in the video but why do you put powders in the raw meat? Are you suppose to add those to every raw mean you buy (Ex: Viva Raw/ Smalls ). I want to get into feeding my kitten a raw diet but it’s so hard to learn the basics !

Yes. Think of animals in the wild. They eat fur, feathers, and scales all the time. Also, fur and feathers can act as a natural way for them to floss their teeth and it acts as fiber as well.

Yeah, smaller whole prey would be good for cat people or for people with smaller dogs. I have stores near me that sells various whole fish (anchovy, minnow, and herring for example) and one that sells mice/rats but more options would be good.

The $700 price is expensive but it can be worth it. Think about how much your time is worth to you. In a previous video she said that each year she puts in about 7.5 days worth of time in cleaning her litter boxes. I rather do anything else than spend 7.5 days each year scooping smelly and disgusting waste out of my cat's litter box. It is an investment but it should last many years, saves you time, and it can help people who cannot scoop their cat's litter box for whatever reason. Such as an elderly person having difficulty bending down to scoop the litter box. I am still not sure on which auto litter box to get. The Litter Robot 4, PetSnowy Snow+, and the Leo's Loo Too are all good auto litter boxes with their own positives and negatives.

An auto litter box is very useful. I am saving up now. So, I will have one before I get a new cat.
