My cousin was a Marine helicopter pilot and they were returning in formation after some training near Fort Drum and he landed in a small park just outside Syracuse NY on a Monday morning. It wasn't planned, he got a chip light and said, "Something sounded bad" the safest course of action was to land and shut down the engine. They sent some Army technicians to look at the problem. The local cop was pretty surprised to see a Huey gunship landing.

I don't know where this took place. But as a fireman, that does helicopter landings. Those people are way too close. Those rotors can kick up small stones and turn them into bullets. Around here, a pilot will not land if someone is too close.

I had 5 of these fly over my house yesterday (I live near London) followed by a few chinooks. I will never get tired of seeing them. This video does not do justice to how loud these things rumble

I'm honestly surprised that chopper can get off the ground considering the HUGE balls of the pilot and gunner.

Not going to lie that was one of the smoothest landings I have EVER scene .

I never realized how small the Apache actually is, it almost looks like it’s compressed

So, I just observed the vehicle with its emergency lights that was on the right of the screen when the heli was landing, it was either the Battalion, or the Fire Marshal. Though I cannot confirm which one it is.

If you notice the pilot is not looking out the window, he is looking down. With their HMD eyepiece they can use the camera system on the nose and see right through the floor to the ground.
