I don't know why, but I have struggled since the day I bought my POD Go to get good sounds out of it. It just sounds artificial and soulless for some reason. There seems to be two basic sounds, digital clipping and clean as heard through a pillow. I'm a Line 6 guy, with POD 2.0, Variax (x3), POD HD500 and a Helix. So far the Helix and the POD 2.0 are the winners out of the bunch (the Variax guitars are outstanding also). I don't know what I'm doing wrong or if the POD Go just sucks, but it just doesn't sound very good. Grrr.

Come on, Line6. Give us a Helix Core! Processing power of a Helix but the form factor of a quad cortex. It would sell like HOTCAKES.

Your Pod Go Probably sounds stale and processed because you have one with the impedance issue.

I had mine fixed, and it still sucks. I'm a Line 6 fan, but I think it's possible that the POD Go just kinda sucks.

I totally agree on what you said “focus on your playing”. Sometimes efeects so complicated that you missed out the most important part which is honing your skills! Cheers bro.

the podgo has an issue of input impedance... try to put any pedal before the podgo (no need to use), and see if the sound improve.. and let us know

they will fix for free and newer ones dont have that issue

@@bikeman1x11 Traded 2020 it in for a new 2022 one and it's great they fixed the impedance problem. Pod go was the best to me. I compared fractal helix and the pod go was the best sound for simple pedal board type set up.. unless your trashing metal guy

I sent mine in to have it fixed, since I didn't use it anyway. When it came back it sounded slighly better, but still sucked. It's the first piece of Line 6 gear in 25 years that I regret buying.
