Confirmed. This solution also works on the Antminer S5. I reflashed with S5+ firmware and it looks like I have room for 2 more hashboards. Lookup "Beaglebone Black pinout". You are jumping 3.3volts from pin 3 or from pin 4 on the header called p9 to pin 43 on p8 which is connected to the boot button. Normally the boot button connects to ground with a 100k resistor. Since you are not grounding it but energizing pin 43, you need a resistor between the 2 pins to be on the safe side. I used a 100k resistor since the Beaglebone can't take more than 5 volts and there's a 5 volt pin nearby that you may accidentally touch when you try to short pin 4 on p9. This virus set me back several years since I started in 2008. It is now 2023. I could have been a bitcoin millionaire by now if it weren't' for those hackers in hong kong. We need to find the makers of this virus and get reparations.

I didn't need the resistor still shorted the pins though and it worked.

At what point exactly do we remove the jumper? Before or after flashing hive/blissz or other firmware? I soldered the jumper and got the green and red flashing LEDs, removed the jumper, tried loading blissz but it still wont take. It blinks the ethernet LEDs for a little bit and then blinks the red fault light once. Am I supposed to have the jumper still soldered on while flashing the blissz/hive firmware? Thanks.

mine wouldnt, i had the resistor on it in the places shown, but the boards LEDS never flashed nor would it connect to my network, i boot it without it itll hold a red LED the entire time its operating, and right before it hits the network it has a solid blue LED turn on for a few seconds any one got any tips of what i might be doing wrong?

How do I know if I got a virus? Not sure what's wrong with my board it but I can't login. No lights working. No blue light, no green light, no red error light, no ethernet light. The only light is the red (power light), please help. Thanks

The sdcard with the firmware should always be in the miner? I bought a miner from china and it has an sdcard. They said it’s antivirus but i am assuming it’s the same thing that you did. I just want to know if i can put another firmware on the SDcard, because rightnow it’s running antminer firmware.

Just a heads up You want the .zip file that extracts a NAND SD recovery ISO file. You don't want to use a TAR.GZ firmware file. Just google his pic in the video:bitmain L3+-sd-recover @1:09

I have four of them with a virus. im getting all the equipment to do this in Amazon. Can you give the link where you download the Nand? And is it 2 micro sd? Sorry im a newbie. Maybe a step by step where to download the software flash. What to save on two sd. Maybe one get the Nand. And 1 recovery. Can I Reuse the resistor after im done with one and to do the other L3?
