I figure it was either not thought through entirely or it was a very marginal cost-cutting measure for a starter product (maybe the costs for setting up printing for different token backs was line-item budget cut). But I still don't understand it since non-foil tokens are frequently one-sided with some ad-like stuff on the back, so if you are going to put something on the back, it ought not be the same thing as the front.

I had the same reaction. I know lots of bunny tokens can be made, but you only ever see one side of a token at a time. Usually, they put some other token on the other side of a token expected to be heavily used in the set.

It's two 60 card decks. There are 25 unique cards you can find here: scryfall.com/search?q=e%3Aacr+cn%E2%89%A5274+cn%E2%89%A4298&unique=prints&as=grid&order=set Mine were bought on preorder at around $15. Online I've seen them now offered around $30. If the unique cards look interesting to you, you'll have to judge whether you get more value buying just the singles you want or by trying to find a kit at a price you can accept to have both full decks.

Yeah, the LOTR Starter Kit didn't have spindowns or life counters either. This is a pretty barebones offering but good for beginners.

I tried this advice for the MTG Ixalan Collector Box reveal I just uploaded: kzbin.info/www/bejne/qJWyZqSjq8uqbM0 . I have a backlog of videos to release that are the old style, but I can consider doing things the new way for future reveals. Essentially, I only have time to do single-take videos without editing, but making this change is a reasonable way to streamline things.

I was glad they were different than the base set, but I think that the scroll showcase has a kind-of sketch haze halo around the edges of the picture that isn't particularly appealing? The colors also seem a bit muted. Saturation wasn't down to zero and black and white like in the Double Feature set, but kind of hit me in a similar way. Surge Foils and borderless are still cool to me. Poster versions are cool as art but not as play pieces unless the table is familiar and forgiving.

The 2nd Collector box was pretty great compared to my other 2. I'm working on some financial review tweets for my overall Commander Masters experience.

There is a lot of cool stuff. I do have originals for some of them (well earlier printings, anyway), but with them being more accessible now, I may have a lower resistance barrier to actually consider including some of them in my decks.

Yeah, some of them could be fun in a playgroup willing to Rule 0 them. This is my first "Un" set so it is nice to get a sampling from prior sets.

Definitely not double-sleeved. There is a little bit of wiggle room in the slots to hold the decks, and by eye I thought that using inner sleeves only might possibly be a very tight fit, but I just counted out 60 inner sleeves and tried to stuff them in the gap and they don't quite fit entirely even with the tokens and header card removed from the deck. There is also a constriction in the middle of the deck slot that I think would have difficulty with the extra height of an inner sleeve. SO sadly, I don't think the plastic deckholder would reliably support sleeving the decks.
