Do not use a mitre gauge with the fence on!! You must choose one or the other. You cannot use both. The reason is because there is a HIGH probability of the material binding between the blade and the fence. When this happens this is known as kickback which results in the material being thrown at you at a HIGH rate of speed. Very dangerous!

This method is way too time consuming! I know it's the appropriate way but It would take way too long to finish certain jobs with this method. I do all of this work with a single utility knife and the work comes out the same if not better.
