I'm sorry but Anjelica Huston's Morticia is just the best and has the most Femme Fatal iconic aura, Netflix missed so hard on writing something like this again, I love how she's written in this movie.

It has been ages since i saw the movies, so i am making some assumption but since her baby had blonde hair and grandma prophesied a normal career for him. (The horror) seeing Morticia read a normla dr seus book to her kiddo is kinda wholesome. Like she is sick to her belly but she is reading it to him still. I gotta watch them again lol

One aspect of Morticia that is frequently grossed over is her motherly side; she is accepting of her child despite how distraught she is by his change, she expresses concern when she thinks Wednesday's classmate has an inappropriate role model, and when reading a fairytale to those kindergarten kids she uses it as an opportunity to teach them empathy for the witch. It is all done in classic Adams Family fashion, but regardless, she clearly cares for the wellbeing of children.

Honestly Morticia and Gomez are such an inspiration for just... how to function in society. They're so loving and genuine. They're unapologetically themselves at all times and they're so sincere. They're kind to others, always willing to help others in need. In spite of being incredibly wealthy they don't value physical wealth or social standing at all, but they also use their wealth to live lives that make themselves happy rather than just hoarding it. They treat others with respect and patience but they also have little sympathy for social grandstanding and posturing. They enjoy humor and absurdity and have no fear of what others think, even if they're sometimes a bit oblivious to others' discomfort (they're wonderful but not perfect). They're passionate about right and wrong and aren't afraid to speak up for what they believe to be the right thing. They're empathetic to other people's struggles and forgiving, to a fault even. When their children are, to them, different or even contrary to their own beliefs, they still treat them with love and support. Though it was a fabrication from Debby, they still support and facilitate their kids "dream" of going to summer camp the best they can. When their baby changes from an Addams to a golden child even as it pains and confuses them deeply, Morticia still treats the baby with the utmost love and care, reading from the type of story book that he would love, etc. which could be used as a fantastic LGBT+ allegory. She loves her children unconditionally and does her best to understand them and support them even when it's hard, as a parent should. Even without the quirky goth elements, the Addams parents are just a good example for how to be good people and I think the world needs more Gomezes and Morticias in it. :)

For being materialistically successful, but little else. They enjoy the opposite of the norm, because they see the positive aspects of said stuff opposite to the norm, such as the fact crooked workers get more money to enjoy themselves and see life without worries.
