This lift is so slow. It is rumoured to have cost £250,000. I'd expect much better quality for that.

The John Lewis scenic lifts (3:25) have now been removed, and are being replaced with some non-scenic Otis Gen2 lifts.

Thought it was quite a good video until that music started at 1:08!!!! (only joking!) Interesting Schindler. MK shopping centre was one of the first every opened in the country. Instead of being built over lots of floors, the whole place was spread out over only two levels. Absolute pain in the *rse to walk around that place as it's spread over miles (and haven't even mentioned the 'open air' car park(s) yet!) and even worse because you don't get as many as lifts as other places.

I think you've marked the WH smith one as boots and I saw no sign of the actual boots one, I understand this is a mistake but what gives it away is the Southern elevator sign as WH smith had used them in the past but boots stuck with another contractor.

More lighting problems there to, next lifts with that interior always seem to have issues with the spotlights for some reason.

Was this a "holed ram" or roped hydraulic? (the roped ones are on the side of the shaft, whereas the holed ram type push the lift from directly underneath. I think the roped hydraulic's offer more 'bounce' than the holed type, but good fun especially if you want to wind someone up who is scared of lifts! Levelling speed needs to be tweaked I think! Matt

I thought it was still or had been a Stannah as I remember that centre and most of them were Stannah including one in BHS.

That Newlands car park looks creepy from the air! Quite rare those Schindlers at 1:50 although they've replaced the landing call button. Good find that Furse Hydraulic lift, looks like Kettering could be my holiday destination next year :D

The first Lifts are Modernized Express Lifts and still exist today. The Glass Schindler's at 1:50 were amazing and have sadly now been Modernized by Jackson and the Glass has been covered up. Marks & Spencer Modernized that Furse Lift more than 10 years ago by Stannah. Marks & Spencer has also now closed down.

Cool doors with the old looking windows in those doors. Wonder if these were part of the original design.
